News: Top 10 Deep Passers in the NFL

That has to be one of the worst lists I have ever seen. A 5th grader could probably come up with better than that.

At the end of the day when you have as many metrics being posted that has Dak as a top 5-7 rated QB, you have to except the fact that Dak is a top QB in the league. All of these different metrics are looking at the data from different views yet coming to the same conclusion.

People who don't accept that are relying on emotions, the "eye test ", or false narrative exclamations, like win-loss ratios (team sport that relies on 11 offensive players, 11 defensive players, special teams and coaches to execute to be successful), or garbage time stats (every QB has garbage time stats, especially ones on bad teams yet they aren't accumalating these type of rankings), or stacked talent (most players' talent is predicated on cohesion with other players (see players who are stars with one team but not another, e.g. Amari Cooper).

The Cowboys front office sees this too, that's why they have a 4 year/$175MM contract on the table right now.

It’s based off statistics for completions beyond 30 yards. Just mocking it without any justification for why it’s a horrible list, proves nothing.

You're right. I just looked at the top ten and criticized it based on the players themselves and what I thought about them. I didn't even consider what it was based on. I freely admit that.

Yeah. Even as a Dak supporter I wouldn’t sign off on a list that puts him as the best QB in the entire league. Lol

LOL, stop lying.

You saw the stats prominently displayed under each selection. Don’t act like you didn’t.

Then, as is customary with the anti-Dak crowd, you decided that facts/stats are irrelevant and your “eye test“ validates your decision to ignore what the facts/stats say.

Yeah this result will not go over well with Dak haters

That being said, it's just one metric. Doesn't make him the best. Deosn't mean he deserves $40M a year or anything close to it.

But he's not the useless scrub many around here think he is. And there are dozens of other metrics that proves this as well.

Definitely helps his case though.

I was surprised he was 1st. Russell Wilson has a great deep ball

Oh no, people are gonna get in a bad mood with this list. But their eye test will say otherwise! I honestly feel fans don't watch other quarterbacks play. They just see the highlights of the other guys, but obviously see every throw of Dak since its their team. If they could only take a look and really see QB play, they will realize we've got a good QB.

Look, dude, don't talk about an eye test. Then try to use stats to refute it. statistics is considered one of the 3 biggest lies for a reason. Don't try to tell someone stats is better than what they actually see. That is idiotic at best. But carry on.

Any guesses?

I have a friend that is an Eagles fan that I rib that will not like this!

Of course, as Cowboys fans, we will all be very happy with this list - correct?
I was happy with a dink and dunk. We were winning. When you throw the ball deep. And put up all sorts of yards. 400 500. You usually lose. I’d rather stay around 300 balanced. Jason Garrett I’m glad he’s gone.

I’m just glad you’re no longer pretending that you simply didn’t see the stats.
:lmao2:

What is the causality between being rated the best long ball passer in the game and finishing the season 8-8. Playcalling? Wr's?

Statistics for the end of your career. That’s all they should be used for in my opinion. I care about wins losses championships. Prescott is a winner. More wins than losses. Even with Garrett

Not that I love dink and dunk. But we were winning.

Nothing much, just tells you without our QB last year we were a 2-3 win team with the coaching, defense, and special teams, along with drops and penalties.

But bringing up the team record no matter the topic of the OP gets old really fast.
