10 Edge prospects within his top 50! Will DLaw be back in 2025? Can Sam Williams bounce back off of major injury? Is Kneeland more of a run player? Many questions at this position. The other thing we must consider is who will be running the defense in 2025?

1-Carter Penn State (3)
2-Williams Georgia (8)
3-Pierce Jr. Tenn (12)
4-Stewart Texas A&M (15)
5-Scourton Texas A&M (17)
6-Tuimoloau Ohio State (24)
7-Jackson Arkansas (31)
8-Green Marshall (37)
9-Sawyer Ohio State (43)
10-Kennard South Carolina (48)

I got to check out the other 4 guys in the top 5, but Micah Jr with Micah, Overshown, and Williams/Kneeland could give us 4 potentially elite front seven pass rushers that can play across the line.

My biggest worry, 2 undersized DE's will struggle to stop the run. Crazy nickel rush packages, though.

One of these 10 could very easily be our pick come April.

DE is a bigger need than most realize. It’s a pretty good group of top 20ish type talent so I wouldn’t be surprised if BPA in the 1st is a DE.

Loooooooooove Carter. One of my early favorites.

I just don't like Mykel Williams. Supreme athlete, but not productive and just doesn't get to the QB. He deserves to go high because of the measurables, because edge rusher is the most measurables-dependent position in football, but I can't say I am thrilled about him.

Carter is a Micah clone. Yeah, I know, it's the easiest comparison in the universe. But when you see Penn State #11 Euro-step back inside at 100 mph, who else comes to mind? He's got a first step that's different from every other defender in college and most of the starters in the NFL.

Scourton is a dude. 280 lb end with power that college linemen just can't handle. Two straight huge years of production. We'll see how he tests (watch the jumps and 3-cone, not the 40. Big linemen don't win on pure speed), but he has a super intriguing combo of tape and traits.

Pearce looks just like Chop Robinson and Dallas Turner from last year. An undersized guy who's all speed and zero power. Chop and Turner went back-to-back in the 20s, and Pearce probably belongs there, but will get pushed up by a bad class.

Carter is a terrific chess piece, but they better have a plan to fix their run defense or he won't make a big impact.

Scourton is that 4-3 DE, where many others are those undersized 3-4 OLB types. A lot will depend on who is running the defense on which Edge players they will target.

If they get a DC that runs a hybrid 4-3/3-4, Scourton makes a TON of sense. He’s Kneeland WITH a pass-rush arsenal.

Spot on…Dane / Mel have Williams high Im just struggling to see it. Ceiling is through the roof but in the top 10 I have a hard time taking that risk.

Pearce was originally my favorite but the size and lack of power has dropped him a little. If we were after a true speed rusher he might be the best in the class but having him paired with Micah might not be the best fit.

Agree on Carter. I’d take him with zero hesitation and figure it out.

Just need to see what kind of athlete Scourton is. If he passes the 1st round thresholds I like him later in the first just not top 10. Tape and production is rock solid.

I don’t know if you call him an Edge, but Jalon Walker is another player that’s interesting. He might be a better comp to Micah since he’s playing more LBr and is just a naturally gifted rusher. Need to dig in more but he’s rated VERY high by the media scouts.

I think you’re underestimating his ability against the run…he’s 250 + (same size as Tank as a prospect) and he plays violent.

He’ll easily be able to bump up to 260 ish without losing athleticism and be an effective Edge setter.

That still is very light for a 4-3 DE. Perfect size for a 3-4 OLB.

If we remain in a similar scheme, he is the one to target.
And add 1-2 new DT talents as well. I envision a DL of:

SDE - Scourton 6’4”, 280+
DT - around 320
DT - around 320 (both to push Mazi to get better OR off the roster)
LEO - Micah

or you could draft Graham who is 320.

It’s the same size as Tank (260+ now)…zero concern.

There’s also zero chance of him playing every down as a DE so it’s kind of a moot point. Kneeland will eat some of those base down snaps.
