It’s the same size as Tank (260+ now)…zero concern.

There’s also zero chance of him playing every down as a DE so it’s kind of a moot point. Kneeland will eat some of those base down snaps.
I believe Carter is listed at 251, Parsons is around 245 and we have seen him ware down late in seasons. In comparison, Myles Garrett is 271 and Nick Bosa is 266. TJ Watt is also 251 and he plays 3-4 OLB. If the Cowboys continue to play in that traditional 4-3 Front, they are going to need bigger personnel to play better against the run, not only inside but also on the edge.

Scourton is that 4-3 DE, where many others are those undersized 3-4 OLB types. A lot will depend on who is running the defense on which Edge players they will target.
I don't care about a "4-3 DE" or "3-4 OLB". That's exactly the thinking that led us to draft Taco over TJ Watt.

Give me a player who can beat blockers and get to the QB, and we'll figure out the rest from there. Scheme fit comes second to actually being able to play.

I think DE is a huge need for Dallas. They need an edge rusher opposite Micah Parsons. It's not Kneeland. And DLaw will be gone after this year I believe.

That’s fine but it won’t matter if this defense cannot stop the run. If you employ him and Parsons, one is going to have to play off the ball in run situations

I hear ya…it’s a valid discussion but Tank got up to Bosas size so done see why Carter couldn’t get close.

With the rotation we could incorporate with Kneeland and maybe Gholston (if resigned) I’d feel good about it.

This…also we’re not talking about someone that’s way undersized. Bulking up in the NFL with weight training and nutrition would be easy.
