Barring any freak injuries or arrests, this list is essentially the final rankings for the 2010 NFL Draft.
The rankings are based on overall prospect grades, with bonus consideration given to players at positions of higher impact.
As an example, Mike Iupati has the third highest overall grade, but guard isn't as vital of a position as defensive end or tackle, so he doesn't show up at #3 on the list.
I value character concerns more than most, and I also tend to be more down on players making positional changes (i.e. collegiate defensive end moving to outside linebacker) or without a clearly defined position (is he a safety or a corner?).
1. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska -- Powerful force has the athletic ability to play in any scheme and make a big impact
2. Eric Berry, S/CB, Tennessee -- The only question is if he fits better at safety or corner, and the Combine eased concerns about size and speed.
3. Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma -- A proven disruptor in the passing game with cat-like reflexes.
4. Anthony Davis, T, Rutgers -- Has the highest ceiling of any of the tackles, and enough people have convinced me he wants it.
5. Brandon Graham, DE, Michigan -- A lethal blend of power and quickness that can disrupt both the run and pass.
6. C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson -- Speed to burn and he knows how to use it with good vision and balance.
7. Mike Iupati, G, Idaho -- Some will be tempted to move him to tackle, but he's a Pro Bowl-caliber guard very soon.
8. Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State -- I'm not buying the Larry Fitzgerald comparisons, but he is a legit #1 WR in the NFL.
9. Joe Haden, CB, Florida -- Tremendous in all types of coverage, he's got Revis-like potential though his lack of top-end speed is a little troubling.
10. Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama -- Physical thumper with the size to handle playing 3-4 inside linebacker and the ferocity coaches love.
11. Russell Okung, T, Oklahoma State -- Few top prospects had as good a Combine as Okung, who really impressed with his long-armed bench presses.
12. Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame -- Can make all the throws with experience a pro-style offense; not for everyone.
13. Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech -- Not likely to be a star but rather an above-average all-around starter for years, a la Justin Smith.
14. Maurkice Pouncey, C, Florida -- Pivot has a great package of agility and tenacious strength.
15. Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois -- His lack of production last year was not his fault, and he's got the tools and desire to prove it; reminds me of a faster Hakeem Nicks.
16. Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma -- Increased muscle mass eases my concerns about durability, but he still needs to handle pressure better.
17. Dexter McCluster, RB/WR, Ole Miss -- Versatile weapon is solidly built for a small guy and has unparalleled quickness and balance.
18. Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State -- Physical corner with added value as an elite return man.
19. Brian Price, DT, UCLA -- Has his sloppy moments, but also has long stretches of dominance.
20. Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee -- Anchor strength to spare, and he understands the game well.
21. Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri
22. Jared Odrick, DT, Penn State
