ESPN ran a great feature last year that basically ranked all the college football programs since the modern era in terms of prestige, winning, tradition, etc..

Here was the top 10:
1. Oklahoma
2. USC
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
5. Nebraska
6. Alabama
7. Texas
8. Michigan
9. Florida State
10. Miami

Hard to argue with that list.

Hard to argue with that list.

Texas should be higher.....but they blew it by losing to Georgia in 84, Mack choosing Simms over Applewhite, and then losing to Bama 2 years ago.....But, you have to give credit to Georgia for the huge upset and Bama for outplaying the Horns....So I am pretty darned pleased to see a ranking of 7.
