I don't think Florida - Mich are anything special

Being a Boise State fan, it is very nice to finally see this team get some national recognition, but you could make the case for Oregon or TCU being in that #3 spot without much argument from me.
The one argument I get sick and tired of hearing is how weak BSU's schedule is, I do not see OSU playing anyone worthwhile, Oregon struggled against the first team that was actually any good this weekend, Bama had the same problem, Texas completely imploded, OU got out of cinci with another close win. It seems to me that these supposed strong conferences, the SEC, Big 12, Pac 10 are not as strong as they once were. Smaller schools like your TCU's, your BSU's, and the Cincinnati's are becoming more and more competitive with the larger programs.

What part of the BCS system is fair?
CATCH17;3584510 said:Regardless of Boise's schedule they are obviously a top team.
They are the smartest team in College football by far and they do a lot of deceptive things Pre-snap that throw teams off.
Kellen Moore is on an entirely different level as a passer compared to every other QB in the nation right now.
They contest every single play on defense. They never leave anyone wide open.
Even the Special Teams are dynamic. They play great TEAM football.
I would LOVE to see Boise State play Alabama to see if Boise State can find a way to overcome the physicality of Alabama.

Jack-Reacher;3588129 said:I think that Boise would have a problem matching up with their front 4 on defense against that running attack of Alabama. I think that Kellen Moore and the offense could keep them in them in the game, but as much I like Boise State, I do not see them overcoming Alabama. I think Bama would end up wearing them down and winning it in the fourth quarter.
Boise has weaknesses, the penalties are killing them, which is not at all like a Chris Petersen coached team. They do play TEAM football though, and I like what Coach Pete does year in and out with the talent that he finds.
Jack-Reacher;3588151 said:Then have the NCAA/FBS step in and help these teams schedule, instead of pissing and moaning about them not playing anyone. BSU has a very hard time getting anyone to schedule them. Oregon passed, USC passed, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Florida, LSU, and Texas all refused to schedule them. I am not saying they are scared to play them, none of them want to play in this market. Fear of losing may be a factor, I say might be, but revenue is king, and this market just cannot compete with the traditional powerhouses.
They are ranked 3rd, not just in the AP, but in the coaches poll as well, perhaps you need look beyond their schedule. They have earned their ranking.
Sure let's get rid of the blue turf, while were at it let's restrict all college stadiums to only 30,000. Lets remove color coordinated shirts and keep the noise levels low as well. Home field advantage is just that. An advantage. I have been at the stadium and those players do not blend in to the field, every time that complaint is made, it is investigated and found to be false. It is a smoke screen used by teams who do not want to go play in a stadium where the record for past 65 games is 63-2. Coach Pete has a 28 game winning streak at home, he has never lost a home game.switzersflask;3588445 said:Not many teams that have NC expectations want to play someone that blends in with their turf. lol
I doubt that's the case with everyone, but I've actually heard players and coaches say that it's a bit of an advantage for BSU. Hell, watching them on television is weird.
I know it's unique, but get a real field. If you want to be taken seriously, that is.
