These are really painful moments in sports that still haunt teams still desperate to win their perspective titles or win titles in their own territory.

There are games/occurrences that still haunt me as a fan. In no order..

As a Spurs fan:

1) 0.4 Derek Fisher shot

2) Manu and-1 foul on Dirk in 2006

3) Ray Allen game 6 corner 3

As a Longhorns fan:

1) Colt McCoy injury in the Rose Bowl against Bama

Rangers - Nelson Cruz Fly Ball(since rangers are in need of their first world series title which i doubt will happen for now)

Cowboys - Jackie Smith Drop

true, but some of that is behind them.

Giants would go to their first Super Bowl 9 years later

Knicks would return to the finals 4 years later

Nelson Cruz Fly Ball, ill add as an honorary mention

Cowboys would return to the Super Bowl 14 years later under the command of jimmy johnson

and my Sox would embarass the Yanks in 2004 on route to beating the Cards in the World Series

I wouldn't call Brazil game a choke. Missing top two guys.

It ended up being a beat down but were they hazily favored to win game and cup without those guys?

Jackie smith drop.
Not able to defend "the catch"
Romo bobble
Crayton not running to end zone for pass
Yanks losing to boston after being up 3-0

i will never add the Yankees defeat in the 2004 ALCS to any choke list. cause the Yanks really deserve to lose that game due to their evil dominance.

i forgot to mention the Oilers losing to the Bills in the 1992 afc wildcard, but ill add it to the honorary list instead of the top 5

Lol!

Great game. But, just a note, they would have lost even w/o the timeout. They were losing, the clock was out, and he was trapped very far from the hoop. The TO really made no difference, but the mistake still was headline worthy.

True, but that whole last possession was a debacle........mostly by Weber, they had a legit chance to win well before the TO.
