Top 5 Worst HC

If Quinn became available would we want him here as a Defensive Coordinator? I don't think we'd ever have to worry about him leaving for a head coaching job again.
you generally don't get a third swing unless you have had success like McCarthey did winning a SB. Even then, he needed Rodgers to really push for him.

Well, then explain how he had the Cowboys defense top 10 for three years in a row. Zimmer comes in (and I knew this would be a disaster), and tanks the defense to the 30s. Eberfluss - same, and Parker - same.

He took the Commodes to a conference title game, and his defenses with Seattle were SB worthy.

Quinn is a good DC, but that is probably his ceiling as a coach.
I think he got the most out of what he had here on defense. He wasn't buying the groceries, but he still had to turn them into something delicious. He was pretty good at that, but when you get into the playoffs, teams are good enough to pick out the bad ingredients and use them against you. I think there are a lot of unrealistic expectations for coaches. As Jimmy Johnson said, talent evaluation is more important than coaching.

by a miracle , we dodged Kellen .

There's always next year

This Top 5 list is according to the FoxSports Barstool Show.....

@ #5 ~ Brian Schottenheimer : Career record 9-12-1 and continue to make poor coach decision week after week.
Smooth talker and says the right things but the proof is on the field
(( Now I insert my comment. Add this to the Jerry Jones is also a Top 5 WORSE GM.
Tells you want you want to hear. Sell...sells...sells but like all his HC, proof is on the field
lack of any success in over 30 years. )))
@ #4 ~ Bucs Todd Bowles: Bad HC but good DC. 62-78 career ( 1-3 playoffs) But he still kicked Dallas back side in Dallas
@ #3 ~ Jets Aaron Glenn: 5-17 Career Record. Like playing or coaching in Dallas, the Jets are also cursed
@ #2 ~ Titan Robert Saleh: 20-61 Career Records... Titans are 6-33 since they fired Mike Vrbel
@ #1 ~ Saints Kellen Moore: This man was on the path to be a Cowboys HC. His career record is 7-15

Side Note : Some will put Dan Quinn...... He did get the Commanders to the NFC Conference finals a few years ago PLUS
took the Falcons to the SB. Only to have to biggest SB embarrassment losing
a huge lead
Others Nick Siranni ..... He won a SB enough said.
When you have a bottom 5 front office it’s hard to get a great HC.
We hire puppets anyway so here we are.

i wouldn't have todd bowles on that list.
his defenses are always good and his teams play hard.
love that guy.
would take him here in a heart beat.

Thats irrelevant to what he is right now
What a coach has shown he can do is always relevant. There can be lots of reasons for failure. Not having the right personnel. Having too many injuries. Hiring the wrong assistants. Some coaches are great at X's and O's but terrible at personnel decisions.

Nick Sirianni is on the "hot seat" in Philadelphia because of the direction his team is heading. Given the right players and the right coordinators, he has taken Philly to two Super Bowls and won one.

Sean McVay's Rams fell to 5-12 the year after winning the Super Bowl. Does that mean McVay forgot how to coach? No. The Rams reloaded and reached the NFC title game last year.

Quinn is a solid defensive coordinator who has done well as a head coach when he's had the parts. The guys on this list have not shown they would ever have the success Quinn has had. This season might sink him, but his career record of 66-65-1, including 5-3 in the playoffs, is far better than any of these ... and those records were included in rating these coaches.

Jerry hasn't been able to sleep at all since last Thursday. Consistent dreams about Todd Bowles as the next Cowboys HC. He's very excited!

Here is how I measure it...which coach will never be hired again? Simple - Brian Shottenheimer.

He would never have had a HC job and he will never sniff another.

He won't even be a OC again.

All these other guys will.

Shottenheimer is the worst.

If Quinn became available would we want him here as a Defensive Coordinator? I don't think we'd ever have to worry about him leaving for a head coaching job again.
And go back to undersized lineman and linebackers to get pushed around again?

Hell to the naw.

Shotty has-
$60 Mil QB
$30 Mil WR
$27 Mil WR
1,200 yard RB
$50 Mil TE
SB DE
Top OL

and he's 9-12-1.PATHETIC
This was all blamed on Uberpuss.

I read that here many times in many threads......those same folks still haven't admitted doing that because it either implicates Dakota, Shotty or Jerry......and those are 3 sacred cows to some people. Not all
