Smith NYG - 869 yds and 5 TD's
Smith Car - 599 yds and 4 TD's

The numbers are real but I agree, NYG Smith can't touch Panther Smith.

Not just yours. He's been my favorite WR in the league for 2 or 3 seasons now. I think he's seriously under-rated and forgotten about because of where he plays.

Why does Andre Johnson get all this love? How many rings does he have? How many playoff wins does he have? How many playoff appearances does he have? How many important games has Houston lost like last weekend while Johnson has been on the team? That being said with tongue firmly in cheek, I think Andre and Larry Fitzgerald are tied for #1 in the league right now as the best wide receivers. They are both terrors to deal with for any defense.

I said it back then and I will say it again now. Matt Millen was a fool to pass on Andre Johnson for Charles Rodgers.

None, he is simply by the numbers.

He is, in Fitzgeralds career he has 3 games over 145+ yards, in 7 starts Austin has 3.

In Fitzgeralds career he has 5 20+ yard TDs, in 7 starts Miles has 5.

Miles Austin has 2 yards less this season than Fitzgerald, and a hell of a lot less catches, in 5 less starts.

Fitzgerald has 6 career games with over 145 yards in receiving..

Fitzgerald has at least 9 receptions that covered greater than 20 yards for a TD in his carer that I can find looking at his stats.

I remember 3 & 5, but I may be long I looked this up a while ago, even if you are right Austin has half Fitzgeralds stats in 7 games, Fitzgerald has started what? 100?

LoL anyone can look like a superstar when you cowboy meaningless stats.

Austin vs Fitz

How many 1000 yard season
How many 10+ TD's season
How many pro bowl season
How many 100+ catch season

There is no comparison Larry Fitz is a class that Austin will never be in.

Never sure is a big word. So is if and IF Austin continues to play like he has this season then he will have a 1000 yard season, a 10+ TD season and a pro-bowl season soon. IF he can do that for a few more years he will have a fine career and be a great asset for Dallas.

It is silly to say that Austin is as good as Fitzgerald is right now and it is just as silly to say that Austin will never be in a top receiver class in the future.

Both Fitzgerald and Moss can catch any pass known to man. Austin is not on that level yet. It's pretty obvious.

It's clear Austin isn't going to be an upper echleon WR in this league. Look at the passes he drops. Look at his stats it's best for him to be a #2 or #3 WR. He is even below the second tier WR's at this point.

No love for Dwayne Bowe?

He misquoted the stats.

Fitzgerald has only three career games with at least 145 yards and a touchdown. Miles Austin has three of them this season.

Fitzgerald has only three TD catches longer than 40 yards in his entire career. Miles Austin has five just this season.

I posted those stats, but merely as a curiosity, not to say that Austin is anywhere close to Fitzgerald.

I disagree. I will wait until a couple of more years to make my determination on Austin. He looks better than Alvin Harper who was a #2 receiver at best. I think Austin has room to improve and he may do just that.
