If we can't get the safety we want, a pick from this position may be the BEST VALUE at 58.

I have to imagine that CB is a high priority for this F.O. I don’t think they want to spend the money it will take to re-sign Jones or get a free agent CB. Unless their plan is to have Brown be the 2nd corner in 2020, they will probably be looking to see how much value they can get if one drops in round 2 or 3. There seems to be a lot of good CBs this year.

Lots of Richard type guys in this draft.

If the team's already done their budgeting and said that Byron is going to walk next year, I am all for drafting his replacement with a second. And I'll pretty much guarantee that Anthony Brown will walk too; we just don't have the money to pay him. Drafting a CB won't help the team this year, but if there's no real impact DLs or safeties at #58, I'm fine with drafting a guy to plug a big hole next year.

Throw out the guys who didn't have a lot of interceptions in college. Because apparently, they can't play CB in the NFL.
