That DL list is thin for what we need. The more I think about it, the more I believe that if we are going to spend big money, it will be on Olshansky rather than Canty. They are at a similar level now but I think O is a better fit for the 3-4 whereas Canty is going to get interest from 3-4 and 4-3 teams

He has made a ton of cash with his play over the past few weeks. He'll be staying in Baltimore though

Id like to see Jabari Greer come over here..he's a feisty little corner that can add some depth in that posistion. I really like Sean Jones and OJ Atogwe also, but they are going to demand big contracts like Madeu Williams last year with the Vikes.

but they have Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Bart Scott, and Dawan Landry ahead of him in line for new contracts.

He could hit the open market. If he does he would be ideal. Solves the punt return issue as well.

Kenechi Udeze Minnesota Non-football Illness
Shaun Cody Detriot

Both could be cheaper replacements for Chris Canty. I know they are both from USC so it seems like I'm homering but I am familiar with both players. If Udeze gets a clear bill of health he is worth a look. Cody is ideal for the 3-4. He does well when surrounded by talent (USC days) so I think he would do okay in Dallas with DeMarcus Ware to his right and Jay Ratliff to his left.

Depending on the tender they receive from their teams I would consider going after either player.

Jim Leonhard Baltimore Return Specialist

If he hits the open market, Jerry needs to be at his doortsep. He is exactly the kind of player we need. I don't mean that like "We just signed Jim Leonhard and we're going to the Superbowl!". I just feel he is a team guy, who has quality coverage skills, loves to hit, and is a good punt returner. Whether he started at safety or just relieved Roy Williams on passing downs he would give 100%. He would definitely make us a better team.

I just hope we get some players that can add depth to this team. With 11 picks, that is more than enough to fill with talent

Bart Scott is a product of the system and has had one good year. Remember Edgerton Hartwell from the Ravens? same thing. He's going to want a huge contract and simply not worth it. I wouldnt mind Atogwe, but there goes my Sean Smith dreams.
