Top Glaring Need from the Draft

What is the one position we need the most? And I mean a position that needs a new starter, assuming we stand pat with our 2nd round pick or if we trade up to the 1st round, a player/position that can contribute immediately?

SS?
NT?
ILB?
WR?
QB?
LT?
C?

You could make an argument for almost any position really, but most would not start. I'm really leaning towards the strong safety position the most with nose coming in second. Who is coming out in next years draft that might fall to us that can contribute right away? What position do you think is the most glaring need?

It will most likely depend on what starters will be lost for next year ,we can start from there. Safety position looks the way to go if it was today.

Only real starters we MAY LOSE would be Canty pretty much!
Most all are coming back.
Well, of course Roy Williams is a gonner, and I personally would love to CUT T.O. and use his money to sign whoseyourmamma at W.R.!

I think DE is a place where we could upgrade.

We will have an instant upgrade next year when we move Ratliff to D.E.!

Again, ANY SIG BET???
I'm willing to bet WHATEVER YOU WANT we will bring in a N.T. so we can move Ratliff to D.E.!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with identifying and discussing positions of need.

But I really like what happens when the Cowboys take the best player available .... if in the 2nd round you can pick up a guy with Martellus Bennett's potential, do it. And I don't much care which position he plays. Just add the talent and let playing time sort itself out later.

In recent years, Jerry Jones generally has tried to address the team's glaring needs pre-draft through free agency, and in so doing, has been better able to escape making "need picks" on draft day. ... I think that's a solid approach.

Agreed, we have enough needs but not real glraing needs where we can pick whoever we want, no one their we like, trade down, someone we like, trade up, no need to reach for any position.

Albert Haynesworth is going to be a Free Agent in the off season.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
AND??????????????????????????

***?

Again for the SHORT BUS PEOPLE!

I am willing to bet as of TODAY RIGHT NOW that next year opening day Ratliff will be our starting D.E. and NOT our starting N.T.!

So forget what if this or what if that and what if Haynesworth actually sees the free market, etc., BOTTOM LINE, as of TODAY, for the purposes of THIS ARGUEMENT as of TODAY, I am TELLING YOU, Ratliff will NOT BE our OPENING DAY STARTER at N.T.!
Do we have a BET or do we not???????????????????????

Like the GREAT Michael Irvin and Jimmy Johnson once said, if you're gonna TALK THE TALK you gotta WALK THE WALK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, what's the deal?
Are you gonna WALK THE WALK or just TALK THE TALK without backing it up?
I already know the answer, but I'll wait for a response anyway! LOL

Can't believe noone mention OG. I think if a guy like Herman Johnson or Duke Robinson falls in the 2nd we should go after them. Holland is servicable and we don't know how Kosier will be after the injury.
