I know ....lolCampbell scares me with his poor instincts.
100% truth. And another reason why our owner (who is a great businessman) should not also be the GM. Being a great businessman does not make you a great football executive.LOL....deadlines cost you money in the NFL
Just for fun I want Dallas to sign DT Levi Onwuzurike. Just to line him up next to Osa Odighizuwa and break a couple announcers.
Brad Sham cant remember if its 3rd or 4th down, i dont see him handling your scenario well.Just for fun I want Dallas to sign DT Levi Onwuzurike. Just to line him up next to Osa Odighizuwa and break a couple announcers.
Brad was great 30-35 years ago. His time is up IMO. Listening to his call the last few years can be painful.Brad Sham cant remember if its 3rd or 4th down, i dont see him handling your scenario well.
I always feel is either have strong instincts or you don't, it's not something you can develop. Bruce Carter was an all world athlete, but was a terrible player cause of his poor instincts at the position.I know ....lol
Dana thinks it's still developing and frankly, I agree coz some of the instinct issues come from inexperience and technical flaws that are correctable. Good coaching and a year under his belt to understand what he sees, when, and why he sees ........

Campbell moves very well to be effective in coverage, especially when playing zone. He shows good eye discipline to locate threats coming into his area and can read the quarterback's eyes to tighten throwing windows. He also has the change of direction and acceleration to break and close on routes to make tackles for short gains or get PBUs.
Against the run, the Alabama product could benefit from some more experience as he still struggles against eye candy. Also, he has issues staying in his gap when taking on blocks from offensive linemen and good blocking tight ends. That's partially due to inconsistencies with his use of hands, but he has long arms to get off blocks when he does get his hands up.
Are you a priest? Shouldn't you be a Saints fan?For some reason they like to do things on Sunday's I always know because i'm at work and I get hype!!
There are still plenty of decent players available that could help us. Not the biggest of names but certainly good enough to plug in.
What baffles me is not the Cowboys avoiding signing big name FAs. What I will never understand is their foot-dragging on signing their own they already know they want.
They could have (should have) already signed Parsons months ago and saved cap space. In the NFL, waiting is losing. For once couldn’t they be proactive and get things done ahead of deadlines?
Agree, difference in having real football people in charge.
Jerry famously says (foolishly IMO) that “deadlines make deals”. That may be true in business but in football being ahead of deadlines gives you a better chance of managing your cap better.
