Only question I have is when do you resign him? Before the start of next season or when he actually hit FA 2 years from now?
Hmmm… remember those rumblings of retiring last off season lol!

Parsons could be the first to crack $150M ( more than Dak's current deal )

.....and that's when this board will turn on him, wanting current play, leading the team in interceptions, tackles, tackles for loss, fumble recoveries, and that still will not be enough.

Contract value is not the real issue. You have to factor in the term. Mahomes' contract is worth $450 million, but it is 10 years which makes his average $45 million. Sure, it is backloaded to some degree, butover 10 years it is a bargain compared to Dak's for example. Dak is likely to make more over the 10 years of Mahomes's contract than Mahomes will.

Fat Zeke has shown everyone else the way. We should have Parson under contract for 4 years with a 5th year option and a possible franchise tag after that. That is what a good team would do. We are a team of drunken idiots. Parsons will pull a Zeke and hold out after 3 years and we will cave in to whatever he wants. How could we possibly say no? The precedent has already been set. This pathetic franchise with our pathetic leadership stinks.

lamb can't command a Devante Adams contract... Trevon Diggs is better than CeeDee lamb and more valuable to the strength of our team.

CeeDee gets 4 catches a game sometimes...I have his jersey - sadly with our OC he can be replaced and utilized way better somewhere else and his agent is probably telling him that

I would make him an offer like this. I'm no GM or pretend to be one, just being a clueless armchair GM here.

I'm worried about him and how he plays. I feel he could break down and have a short career. If I had Jerry's job, this off season I would tear up his current contract and offer him a guaranteed 5 year deal, $100 million, $25 million signing bonus. If it's not illegal to do this, I would tell him to start a charity (if he hasn't already) and make a nice donation to it.

This does a few things. It's a win-win situation for him and the team. I think. We wrap him up early so he can't follow Quinn if he leaves (like he said he would), it gives him security if he gets seriously injured (with the way he plays he's more susceptible to getting injured), and I believe it will save us a lot of money in the last 3 years (Not sure when he can ask for an extension) of his contract. Basically we are over paying in years 1 and 2 and getting a HUGE bargain in years 3, 4 and 5. He'll still be young and maybe we will have our cap sorted out by then to give him big contract.

My man is playing way way above what he's getting paid right now. I would try my best to keep him happy, a player on course to be an NFL all time great. Plus he seems to be an extrovert. His autograph and picture sessions with fans at the end of each game (I think only after wins) goes a long way with me. He unites people and we need more like him in this world.

To the GM's here, yes I know he's not up for an extension and my way would be hell against the cap next season because we have a lot of quality free agents to sign. Like I said, I'm being a clueless GM here. :)

Hold out penalties are much greater now. And I don't see mp as that type of guy but I could be wrong.

umm we have him for 5 years, he can even ask for deal until after 2023, so lets stop getting ahead of ourselves with Jerry having to pay out this time of scratch. we will have to pay Diggs first, maybe Lamb, Steele and others. way too soon to discuss this Parsons possible deals.
Parsons will sit out during the preseason of his 4th year. Any agent is going to insist on this.

That's a lot of pass rushers.
If you have to lose one or the other who would you chose to lose...Lamb or Diggs? Parsons contract comes up one year after those two guys so we might not be able to keep both of those guys and Parsons too.
That's not a real question fir anyone that knows football and isn't trolling. Diggs is much better than Lamb at an equally premium position

Trolling is when you're trying to upset people. I'm not trying to upset anyone. But you calling me a troll is very upsetting. So guess who the troll is?
