This will be off-topic but does refer to my list. This is a story I have told in the past, so I understand if anyone rolls their eyes while reading it yet again.
In April of 2003, I was in the theater watching trailers of upcoming movies. I do not even remember the movie I was there waiting to see. Nor do I remember all of the other trailers that rolled before the movie started. However, there is ONE trailer that grabbed my total attention--my soul--within five notes of Ennio Morricone's
Battle Without Honor Or Humanity started to play...
The movie hit theaters in October later that year. Let me tell y'all. That was a LONG six months for me to wait.
Like many moviegoers, I have seen hundreds (if not thousands) of film trailers during my life. The one above rests, solidly and undisputedly, within my top five movie trailers of all-time. Heck. None of the other trailers made for
Volume 1 OR
2 hold that distinction for me. Weird.
