Yeah, I didn’t like the Director’s cut as much.

James Coburn, after Porter shot his suitcases: “That’s just mean, man!”

Ironically i found out a number of people have never heard of Gibson's Payback, so i guess its' one of those rare under the radar Guilty Pleasure flicks ..

I thought about putting the Incredibles on my list, but I only really liked the first one. And the Mad Max remake is so sped up it looked like claymation to me. Human beings don't move that fast. Sorry.

Red 2
Two Guns
Nobody
Mission Impossible Rogue Nation
John Wick 3
The A Team
Hobbs and Shaw
Mission Impossible Fallout
Cold Pursuit

If we’re including superheroes…

A max of 20 action films? During the last 22 years? My brain just short-circuited.

This will make me think for awhile. The timeframe covers the entire MCU and DCEU franchises, so my list will be dominated by such. Kill Bill: Volumes 1 & 2 automatically fill two of my slots. Need 18 more.

This will wait until later before I must take a Tylenol lol.

Yeah, it’s tough, I feel ya. There’s 20-30-something OTHER ones that could have made my list. My original idea was more reality based movies—leaving out the superhero/science fiction genre.

Maybe a “Top 50 Favorite Non-Superhero Action Flick”?

This will be off-topic but does refer to my list. This is a story I have told in the past, so I understand if anyone rolls their eyes while reading it yet again.

In April of 2003, I was in the theater watching trailers of upcoming movies. I do not even remember the movie I was there waiting to see. Nor do I remember all of the other trailers that rolled before the movie started. However, there is ONE trailer that grabbed my total attention--my soul--within five notes of Ennio Morricone's Battle Without Honor Or Humanity started to play...

The movie hit theaters in October later that year. Let me tell y'all. That was a LONG six months for me to wait.

Like many moviegoers, I have seen hundreds (if not thousands) of film trailers during my life. The one above rests, solidly and undisputedly, within my top five movie trailers of all-time. Heck. None of the other trailers made for Volume 1 OR 2 hold that distinction for me. Weird.

Crap. I have sat here and re-watched it at least seven times while making this post. Back to work DE.:muttley:
