...I thought I would put out this for something to enjoy.

Every year leading up to the combine we have the annual meat market to evaluate and discuss players according to their positions, stats and personal impressions of their play.

What about the important things to note about this year's draft class?

Who has the weirdest/funniest name this year? My alltime favorite was "Jitter Fields".

Who's the shortest? Who's the tallest?

What about the heaviest?

What about other physical anomalies?

Jevon Kearse was noted for an unbelievable wingspan. Joey Galloway had skis for feet. Aaron Gibson had one of the biggest heads.

Any of the draft afficionados know some of this more imortant, but little known info. to share with the rest of the forum?

I guess this is not from this year's draft class....but I don't know if you can beat (no pun intended) this one......he even had to legally change it, not sure why.....:lmao2:

Joe Thomas OT 6'8 313 Wisconsin

By: Robert Davis

You know you have something special when an offensive lineman can play multiple positions. As a freshman, Thomas played on the offensive line, as a tight end, and even started a game at defensive end. As a sophomore, he became entrenched at left tackle for the Badgers and has not looked back since. As a junior, he was a consensus All American, and had the opportunity to declare for the draft until a torn ACL ended those thoughts in the Capital One Bowl. Thomas came back strong this year though, and regained the form he had shown in previous years and once again earned All America honors.
Thomas is the prototypical left tackle prospect. He has a long, lean frame with the room to add more weight as he gets bigger. He combines that size with excellent athleticism and agility. Thomas is a great pass protector with his mobility and his long arms, and easily adjusts to moves by the defender. In the running game, once he locks on to a defender, he’s not getting away. With his experience in the Big 10, he’s a player that will be ready to play from Day 1. The only pressing issue with Thomas is the knee injury he suffered in January. Playing on the defensive line because of depth issues for the Badgers, he tore his right ACL. He needs to prove that he’s back at full strength and that there are no lingering issues with the knee. Thomas is a franchise tackle prospect if completely healthy. The knee is a concern though. Eric Winston of Miami was a top 10 pick before hurting his knee, and fell to the third round in last years draft because he didn’t regain his pre-injury form quick enough. If everything checks out fine with the injury, he should be a Top 5 selection

It appears to be true. Here is Eastern Illinois' roster, and #6 is SR LB Lucius Seymour.

not in this draft class but the browns used to have a receiver named "fair hooker".

Which is hard to top.

Seriously? That's hilarious if it's for real.

However it isn't as funny as former MLB player Rusty Kuntz, now that's an awesome name.

This can't be the correct weight is it? ::eek::

...reportedly over 400 lbs when he was on the Cowboys roster, but the official gamebook listed him in the high 300's to save him some embarassment.
