For those that watched Torchwood on BBC...The new season starts tonight at 10PM EST on Starz.

For those that do not know what Torchwood is...if you Like(d) Doctor Who it is a spinoff of sorts from that show. However I guess if you were a Doctor Who fan you probably already knew that.

If it had been a Deadwood spin off I might watch it lol

SWINGEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I wish they would bring that back.

I got my dad the 1st three season DVD sets for fathers day/birthday. He had only see an episode or two and I told them they are a must watch.

So I am thinking of turning off HBO since Thrones is over. I turned off Showtime because Dexter isn't running S6 yet. (SEPT :D )

I typically only keep 1 premium sub active.

Should I check out Starz and this program? Is Starz worth it?

HBO is kinda boring lately.

Torchwood is awful. Featuring the worst side character in the Dr Who universe. Bleh.

They are about like HBO/Showtime.

They don't have as many series as the others at this time.

Spartacus is a pretty good one...some love it some don't.

Camelot was watchable but not as good as I thought it would be.

Torchwood will probably be similar to what it was on BBC/BBC America. Which is to say it is an ok show if you like stuff like Doctor Who.

So if you are wanting a bunch of series, I think HBO and Showtime offer more.

Not quite, i'm not the one watching Torchwood!

:laugh2: I was glad in the last season they killed off all but a couple of them.

Hopefully they will have some better ones.

Meh...it is something to fill in the time until Doctor Who is back.

Starz movies are decent, they update about once a week and add some new ones.

Spartacus rivals Entourage as one of my favorite TV shows of all time.
Camelot is pretty decent. Not great, but worth watching.

So is the Starz Torchwood connected to the BBC version directly? What I mean is, is it beneficial to see the BBC version before the Starz version, or is it like a reboot and not directly tied to what BBC aired?
