If you were out performed by James Washington this year kindly shoot yourself in the face.

This chart is completely worthless.

Shortcomings of EPA

EPA does have its limitations, most notably in its ability to measure individual performance. EPA analysis works for QBs because that position dictates so much of the game. However, football is a team sport, and attributing EPA to other positions like running-back or wide-receiver typically does not yield as much signal. EPA can’t distinguish between a well run route and a well thrown ball.

Yeah it doesn't make any sense to me. So James Washington was a more productive target than Dalton Schultz?

Looking at totals yards is worthless because you don’t know how efficient they were. Pollard was absolutely a weapon. Zeke wasn’t. Every Zeke handle was a win for the defense
But they kept running Zeke like it's 2016. Morons, do they even watch film?

All true, but video breakdowns by various professionals have shown this receiving crew was the absolute worst in average separation.
Also video shows that Dak is inconsistent and inaccurate. Stop sticking up for him. It's been established for years. He is a seesaw backyard QB. He can win some and lose some but he is not going to carry a team. He's not a top 10 QB because he is too inconsistent.

Can't wait until this clown is gone.

The problem is there is a subset of fans who see this and start yelling, "See, Dak is great, it's not his fault!".

But that ignores the reality that the inconsistency the offense showed game to game at times is more than just oh, the WRs need to be better.
Agreed. It’s a conglomerate of issues, including QB play, WR and pass catching corps in general, OL, etc.

Looks like this Offense over-achieved considering the lack of weapons. Cowboys need to get Dak more/better weapons if they expect to advance further in 2023.

Talk about misconstruing and misrepresenting data to fit your narrative.

A common theme with Dak is that he stares down CD on almost every single play despite other receivers being open. Watch the tape.

Correlation does not equal causation. Just cause CD is receiving the most share of targets that does not mean we do not have anyone else open.

The WRs need upgrading. But the various videos also point out all the mistakes Dak is making, some that a 7 year vet shouldn't.

I think when all is said and done, the pro Dak crowd is going to be disappointed when they find out the offensive inconsistency goes beyond Moore and the WRs. If Dak doesn't stop playing loose with the ball and making bad decisions (hence why I am behind getting a new voice in his ear), it won't matter who the WRs are.
Even if you want to analyze his INT'S in an effort to blame the WR's, Im sure you will see that poor placement or reads was the single biggest factor.

Its 100% true that we need better weapons

Its 100% true that Dak needs to make better decisions with the ball. And thats at a minimum. Something happened half way through the season in 2021, and Dak has seemed off since.

I dont blame Moore. I dont think he is a bad coordinator. However I agree with you belief that we need a new voice in his ear

Hilton didn't come on board until December 24, so it's somewhat disingenuous to say the Cowboys front office went and gave Dak some help this season. They should have done this at the beginning of the season. Their pick ups of James Washington and Jalen Tolbert were a total failure. This Cowboys Offense overachieved by advancing further this year than last year with lesser talent/weapons. If they are serious about trying to go further, they need to add more/better weapon(s).
So last year (2021) we had Lamb 79 catches Cooper 69 catches, Schultz had 78 catches, Gallop had 35 Catches, Cedric Wilson had 45 catches Zeke ran for 1000 plus caught 46 balls....and there was Pollard who Ran for 719 and caught 39 more...etc etc etc..what was the result at the end of the year in the playoffs? More Weapons for Dak is not the answer

Jerry stated last year that Dak is going to have to earn his money and produce with what he has. They went out and gave him more with Hilton.

It didn’t help to have Gallup not even a year removed from his issue but Jones put this on his quarterback and here we are.

Home for championship weekend

Once again.
People simply do not understand how Jerry the GM works. He is not a football man. He is a businessman in the GM seat. Once he gave Dak the money....Dak was going to have to make it work with whatever scraps Jerry gave him. Because trust me, Jerry did not want to give it to him. He actually told you at the press conference to announce the extension. But how much Dak makes is not an indication of how good/bad he is. How much he makes is based on the market. Was Dak better than a 500k QB when he went 13 - 3 his rookie year? Sure was, but that does not change the fact that he made 500k. And I am sure Jerry was not complaining. As a businessman, he was high fiving on the "deal" he got.

If you did not want to pay Dak....you did not have to. But you have to have a COMPLETE organization with a vision and strategy to pull that off. I said at the time I would have went after Brady once it was obvious Dak and the Cowboys could not make a deal that Jerry liked.

Once Dak was franchised, a QB should have been drafted so you could get out of the 50m QB arena if that is not where you wanted to be. The Eagles had Wentz and his big contract, but that did not stop them from drafting Hurts. The culture that Jerry has created would not have allowed for it. Jerry has no one but himself to blame.

You really are like the General Custer of Dak defenders.....and we all know how badly he failed too.

Pay him!

Also he needs more weapons!

Also he needs great blocking!

Also he needs a great defense!

Also he needs great coaching!

Like seriously.. Dak is paid to elevate the team..

Here is an idea.. Instead of better weapons why don’t you just throw it to a wide open TY Hilton for 6..

Or throw a catchable ball to Gallup when he’s 2’yards behind the defense.

Or not throw into heavy coverage and lead the league in INTs.

That can contract extension was a mistake, we technically have Geno Smith with better PR and less accuracy making 40M.

Elliott split runs with Pollard .. you cannot count just one when both split the carries.

Dak had a running game that provided 1,883 yards rushing.

Dak played in only 12 games yet led the lead in interceptions. But yeah, it's everyone else's fault.
Tell em!
