This loss is equally shared by special teams, offense, defense, & coaches.
  • Special Teams- Wow, where do we start? How about with the first two miscues-Felix Jones' fumble that set up a field goal? That was followed closely by a lame block attempt by Dan Conner that led to the blocked punt & TD recovery. Dez Bryant was constantly misreading, muffing, & pretty much an embarrassment as the PR.
  • Offense- When you lead the home team by a huge amount in yardage & time of possession after staking them 10 pts. in the first half, and only come away with 7 pts., you put yourself even further behind the eight ball. When you basically give up on the running game in the 2nd half trailing by only 13 pts., you become one dimensional & set yourself up for failure.
  • Defense-The defense held it's own for almost 3 quarters, then folded like a card table.
  • Coaching-Giving up on the run in the 2nd half was inconceivable. Romo had very little chance of winning this one on his own. Also, can anyone tell me what happened at the end of the 1st half? Romo & Austin had just teamed up on a long pass play down the middle with 1:06 left in the half. Instead of taking one of their 3 time outs, the offense strolled down the field & ran another play. It was 3rd & 3 from around Seattle's 40 yd. line. By the time the play was over, they had let 24 seconds run off the clock, & failed to convert, deciding to punt on 4th & 3. This is just common sense stuff that the casual fan would know. It was a crucial moment in the game & Garrett just blew it. Once they punted & Seattle had the ball, THEN they started using their time outs. Man, when will this guy learn basic clock management?
