and I'm sure he won't want the position but how about Troy Aikman as our OC. He would/could run the same offense that he did in the 90's. He would be as familiar as anyone with those certain plays and where people should be. He could even use the same verbiage. I know it won't happen but considering the other possibilities.....

Interesting but with his new NASCAR team about to start up this year I doubt he would be interested in getting into coaching.

Besides who wants a thankless job that you spend 15 to 20 hour days and if you don't win it all your constantly being slammed. Heck Cower manages to get his team to the playoffs on a reg basis but because he has not won the SB he has to face the critics and is called over rated. Yeah that is how I would want to ruin my life. LOL

Gibbs is a head coach and owns a racing team...Matter of fact the championship team.

Besides, 2 years down the road is a while anyhow. I just like Troys approach to the game. We already knows how he feels about team disapline, after hearing him speak about the Switzer years.

See the edit I added to the post. Troy has a great job with FOX and does not have to deal with every tom, dick or harry who thinks he knows how to coach a team better and winning is not even good enough, you have to win the whole thing or your being slammed by idiots who would not know the 1st thing about running a team. I think it takes a special person to want to be a Professional Head Coach in any sport. Long hours and constantly under the gun.

What? And give up the chance to continue to hear Joe Buck completely overreact to end zone celebrations? I think not.

That is a DISGUSTING act!

He's making like 8.5 million per year with Fox and has job security.

In his shoes would you leave the spotlight to go be a flunky?

No way Parcells allows him to be paid more than he is.

Troy would just belittle the team and tell them they're not as good as when he was under center.

Troy is not coaching material IMO. He was a great player and he knows the game but I just can't see him out there as a coach. Besides he has too many irons in the fire with his car dealerships, racing team and other business interest. And he has a sweet gig with the analyst job so why would he put himself through all the problems that goes along with being a coach?
