Tough Choices Coming at LB

Not sure where we are headed with this group. Butler and Brandon Williams are no where near ready to contribute this year. On the other hand, a guy like Octavien looks really good. Do we keep all 3? Doubtful when we are keeping 3 QB's and 2 kickers. Octavien is the better player right now but is probably the odd man out. too bad.

I was just looking at the LB roster and I agree with you. This will be a difficult decision on who we keep. I count 10 LB's but I know we will not keep more than 8. So what do you do? Try to hide some rookies on the PS or do you let go two guys that have stepped up their game this off season. Hodges, J. Williams and Octavien was all over the field last night. What a great problem to have.

Depending on Brandon Williams status, it might play itself out as he may end up on PUP or IR.

I was gonna post the same thing. Remember also, Octavien is only 24 and also a beast on special teams. In addition to that, he's a veteran who plays with some physicality and aggression and is way more ready to step in and contribute over Williams and Butler. I say you have to go 5 deep at that position and go a bit lighter somewhere else. There are already depth concerns there and this helps alleviate them.
