The visiting locker room at AT&T Stadium is probably nicer than the home locker room at places like Cincinnati. Last I heard, Cincinnati didn't even have an indoor practice facility, although they do have Joe Burrow.

Well, for the current team, the toughest place to play is at home because we are an absolute embarrassment when we play in our own stadium

It appears this is based mostly on noise, as nobody is "afraid" of playing in Minn... they have a cushy indoor stadium, and their Midwestern fans are overly nice, nothing like hard core northern east coast fans.

I'm surprised Denver isn't higher, just based on altitude adjustment alone

If I owned the Vikings, you better believe it would be an outdoor stadium. I know they have it indoors so they can host a SB every 10 years or so, but I'd say Screw That, and just have an outdoor icebox other teams/fans HATED, that would make Greenbay and Buffalo look like mild Miami winter. Get some wolves as mascots, run it 90% of the time, and make other teams hate life. As it stands, they're a sissy team nobody "fears".
Agree with you on an outdoor stadium for Minnesota. Some of us recall Bloomington's Metropolitan stadium, Vikings home in 1960s, 70's. December, January games there were Antarctic-like. No wonder the Vikes won 7 of 10 playoff games there. I think one of those 3 losses was the Hail Mary pass (Roger to D. Pearson, 1975)--a balmy 45 degree temp.

you know what you're stuck in recency bias, I don't hear anybody talking about the 17 game home win streak up till the Green Bay game and yes it fell apart this year but if things come in cycles they said we couldn't win run a lot of win Rd. games and yet this year we had three or four Rd. games we won outdoors on grass and it was some of them were are going to be playoff teams...even agiant mobile qb in Daniels.. All the irony here right only post bits and pieces to fit a narrative we get it this year we suck at home but prior we did not we went nearly two years without being beat at AT and Id called that home field advantage,,

So yeah if you winna just get stuck with this season only you can say all you want about our stadium but prior to that we had a 17 game win streak we were nearly unbeatable at home but nobody wants to bring that up because that's not the narrative of that's Jerry bash AT&T backs everything about the Cowboys oh you're supposed to be a fan just bash bash bash bash hey this 2025 maybe you ought to change your attitude...

Now to the real game today!! GO Horns!!! Hook,em

There are teams that aren't even on the list, so at least we made the list.....I guess. lol

I would think anywhere up north (with an open stadium) would be considered tough to play in. Loud and cold in the later part of the season. Minnesota high on that list surprises me. Doesn't seem like it would be a tough place to play. Hell, Cooper Rush won a game there.

That was before my TV watching time, but I've seen replays of those games up there.

Antarctic is right.

Some of the posters here around my age can vouch for that Metropolitan stadium setting. Then Vikings coach Bud Grant stood on the sideline, just stared, no emotion, locked in on the game; (imagine a coach less emotional than Tom Landry). Word then was he didn't allow heaters on the Vikings bench, sideline, no matter how cold. Grant reasoned that it was a "distraction" to players.
Can you imagine that these days?? Not.

You know once again I can look at a title don't have to read a single thing any of y'all responded to or what the story was even about is I could tell you this there isn't a single indoor stadium in today's NFL that's not easy to plan and when you play in one yourself and you go to another one it's pretty much like playing at home there isn't much difference and don't say it doesn't get loud at AT&T I've been there it gets loud and by the way how is it that we had that 18 game win streak there in a row or was it 17 up until this recent collapse I mean I guess it was so easy to play in that we forget that we won 17 in a row there but only bring that recency bias because you wanna make a little narrative to AT&T is so easy to play in it's all Jerry's fault poor us it's Jerry Jerry Jerry Jerry Jerry Jerry Jerry built an easy stadium player oh wait a minute that's why you won't close the curtains it is not an easy stadium to play in because they can get blinded maybe their eyes will burnout..

This is just another terrible thread with a terrible story trying to make a terrible narrative stick that somehow this is a cupcake place to play even though there's a lot and I mean some very similar stadiums all over the NFL that are pretty easy to play in because well they play in one at home and then when they go on the road they're playing indoors in another stadium that feels just like home this is the reality the only ones that are hard to play are the ones outdoors in that environment and there aren't many of those left so keep on with the weird narratives the weird posts and the weird passive aggressive shots at Jerry Jones you all are pathetic but that's OK that's why I didn't put anyone's name in it if you're reading this you can't say I was being mean this is just another bad pathetic passive aggressive knock on the ownership and yet here you are as fans still talking about his product on a daily basis....
It was based on some players’ opinions. They play in the NFL stadiums. You don’t.

The weather is the only real hardship for away teams. All teams have good facilities and good playing surfaces. In past eras visting players might have to deal with:

Cramped, cold locker room.
No hot water.
Muddy playing surface.
Maybe a visible slope on the field.
Loud blue collar fans in the cheap seats throwing objects at visiting players.
Etc etc.

Per the article:

"Here are the results of 111 NFL players voting on the toughest place to play. Some gave multiple answers, so their first choice was worth 2 points, the second worth 1 and third worth 0.5."

LMBO!

AT&T Stadium received two points. Okay. Let's see...

One player voted for AT&T as their first choice for toughest place to play. OR

Two players made AT&T their second choice for toughest place to play. OR

One player made AT&T their second choice, along with two additional players choosing the stadium as their third choice. OR

Four players made AT&T their third choice.

Not sure which scenario is more embarrassing.
I always thought San Francisco was the worst place to play, the grass is on sand. Talk about no footage.
And then Texas Stadium, the crown of the field I think was 4 feet higher than the sidelines. You couldn’t see the receiver if you were in the middle of the field, lol

All you have to do is watch the games and you can see how comfortable the players are on the field or not. You don’t have to play on the field to understand the field sucks.

You don't find art intimidating? What about a sun glare?
So speaking of stadiums and sun glare, did anyone in this thread watch the Texas - Arizona State game that just ended? The game was played in the Mercedes Dome in Atlanta and I noticed the sun shining through windows near the end of the game. Do you think the sun was shining in the players eyes? Nope, the stadium was designed in a way the sun was on the people in the stands, not on the players on the field.

What a concept, and it shows how much of a moron Jerry is.

Who wouldn't wany to play in a stadium where half of their fans want them to lose, to embarrass the owner?

I imagine to have a player‘s perspective you actually do have to be a player.

There's probably some conflation of the how good the opponent is versus how tough the stadium is (more energized crowd, less visiting fans). But I would probably put Seattle a notch worse than Arrowhead ceter paribus. It definitely seems like the Hawks amplify or pipe in the crowd noise.

The hilarious part of this, brought to you bu the football gods, is that It is the hardest place to play for OUR players, lol. See the curtains and how many times we've been screwed by Jerry's ego versus other teams.
