I like the way the defense played vs Philly but it can take another step by bringing in a STOUT DT that commands double team and stops the run on a consistent basis.
Teams to target

Jets: Folorunso Fatukasi 6’-4” 318lbs

Ravens: Brandon Williams 6’-1” 336lbs
Michael Pierce 6’-0” 340 lbs
Daylon Mack 6’-1” 340 lbs

Carolina: Dontari Poe 6’-4” 346 lbs

Jaguars: Marvell Dareus 6’-3” 331 lbs

Bills: Star Louteleli 6’-2” 320 lbs

Some of these teams I can't see trading a key cog, for a 2nd or 3rd when they have playoff aspirations. Minus the Jets and Jags.

Dareus was someone I sort o f followed for a bit. Wouldn't mind trading for him but think a day 3 pick could get him.
Cause his last year of his deal (2020) is too damn high lol. 22.5mil cap hit, 10mil of that is a roster bonus.

Throw in a 5 or 6th round pick as well.

Marcell is 29, going on 30 in March 2020. He has been in the league since 2011 for 10 seasons now. He definitely is at the tail end of his career. Buffalo traded him to Jacksonville in 2017 for a 6th round pick, so he might be had for a 6th or 7th round pick? The issue is he definitely is not the player he was 5-7 years ago, plus he's extremely overpaid. Is he worth a 6th or 7th, plus picking up such a hefty contract for a shell of his former self?

I think it would put dallas over the top. They are going to have to beat Rogers in the playoffs. They need to crash the middle of the pocket and absorb blockers to free up Dlaw and Quinn.

IMO if that's who they liked it would be a one year rental and then cutting him before 2020.

His hit this year would be reasonable.

That being said, unless A. Woods was injured for long term, I just can't see this team shelling out picks/cap space for a DT.
Unfortunately.

Why don't we just draft a big fat guy in the middle rounds like everyone else? Oh yeah Rod doesn't want fat guys, they're obviously lazy.

lol half of those big guys ran fast as DE and can play side to side.

The new DT didn't play last week. He should have but looks like he will get time VS the giants. I'm betting they start covington and have Justin rotate in with the 2nd unit. That should help. Hill might as well go on fake IR.

Will it take another sub par RB in the playoffs running wild through the middle of our line to finally make a change? Our coaches can't be that stubborn. Then again......

Teams to target

Jets: Folorunso Fatukasi 6’-4” 318lbs

Ravens: Brandon Williams 6’-1” 336lbs
Michael Pierce 6’-0” 340 lbs
Daylon Mack 6’-1” 340 lbs

Carolina: Dontari Poe 6’-4” 346 lbs

Jaguars: Marvell Dareus 6’-3” 331 lbs

Bills: Star Louteleli 6’-2” 320 lbs

the issue with your list most of those teams are in the layoff hunt and are not trading those players..

Not a single one of those is worth a 2nd or 3rd.

I can't name a NT in the league worth a 2nd though tbh.

Why not just let A.Woods and C.Covington be our starters. Woods could be our 1t and Covington our 3t. M.Collins could come in on passing downs. To me, that is a better solution than spending a high draft pick.

Just my opinion and opinions vary just like beliefs.

Jets: Folorunso Fatukasi 6’-4” 318lbs - Isn't even a starter. Nothing to suggest he is any better than Woods.

Ravens: Brandon Williams 6’-1” 336lbs The Ravens are in first place, so they won't get rid of a key player.
Michael Pierce 6’-0” 340 lbs He's huge, but is he really that good? Hasn't consistently been a starter through his career.
Daylon Mack 6’-1” 340 lbs Like Pierce, he's huge, but is he good? Being big doesn't necessarily equate to being good.

Carolina: Dontari Poe 6’-4” 346 lbs

Jaguars: Marvell Dareus 6’-3” 331 lbs

Bills: Star Louteleli 6’-2” 320 lbs
I'm not sure any of these make sense. There are a few that could help, but a contending team isn't going to trade away key pieces. Others really don't seem to be a notable upgrade over Woods, and a couple seem to have size as their only asset. Size doesn't necessarily mean good.

Now that the Bengals are in full rebuild, why not try and trade for Geno Atkins?
