This was huge a few months ago, but after the Senior Bowl he might not be available at are pick according to some. I personally would put money on goff going to the Browns at 2. The question is if Wentz is there at 4 can we trade back to around 10 and still pick up our future franchise qb. It would be risky, I would fear the eagle's jumping up or the 49ers. It's the risk you have to take, you can get an extra pick and the qb, if not get the BPA on defense.

If they team likes Wentz and considers him a Franchise player for them and he is sitting there at #4....don't try and get cute , trade out and hope he is there a few picks later. Just get the player you want instead of chancing it.

Old Jerry would trade back and hope.
What we have seen of late is wait and see who is there. BPA.

This is what I'm thinking.. If you can get the guy you want, take him.

Trading back and still getting a 1 of the top 3 QB's is 100% not happening. Either we are taking 1 at 4 or we aren't taking 1 of them at all. You don't have a franchise QB on the board and then trade back and cross your fingers he's still available

If we trade back past SF, then they won't have to jump.

It would be insane to have your franchise quarterback fall to your pick and then to trade back hoping to get an extra pick. That extra pick won't give you what a franchise quarterback would unless he's another Emmitt Smith or Jerry Rice and you plan to base your offense around him.

Any team wanting to trade up with us would probably be targeting a QB, most likely Wentz in this scenario. Can't imagine someone wanting to trade up to #4 for Bosa, Ramsey, Jack or any other non-QB. So if we are looking to trade down and still draft a QB we better be prepared to only have Lynch as an option.

Why is it a risk you have to take? What kind of thought process is that?

Why are we over thinking this? Identify the franchise QB and get that guy. The risk/reward for trading back and risk losing him isn't in our favor.

I'm not trading back. If anything, I'm trading up.
