Trade back into the early 2nd and pick up and extra early 3rd...
2nd- Nate Orchard DE, Utah
2nd- David Johnson RB, N. Illinois
3rd- Kwon Alexander LB, LSU
3rd- Marcus Hardison DT, AZ State
4th- Mitch Morse OG/OT, Mizzu
5th- JaCorey Shepherd CB, Kansas
7th- Deontay Greenberry WR, Houston
7th- Trevor Perdula P, Baylor
Sign a youngish starting SDE and add in Orchard and Hardison and the d line is set for a long time in my opinion. Orchard adds to the WDE rotation as an edge rusher and Hardison is a 3 tech behind Crawford. Basically, these 2 will end our pass rush woes.
David Johnson is a unique RB who possess speed and power but also hands like a WR. Offensive weapon with or without Murray and could grow into the feature back role.
Kwon Alexander is a young, highly athletic LB who tackles everything near him. Can play early and his potential is through the roof.
Morse is the working man's o lineman who also happens to be a pretty darn good athlete, he had a very good combine. Played OG before moving to LT. Only question is short arms but I think he may be able to play RT, if not he is definitely a good fit inside.
Shepherd is an underrated CB imo. 32 passes defended and 5 ints the past 2 years. Good enough size and his athleticism looks good on tape. Locates the ball and plays it in the air very well.
Greenberry is a former top recruit who never really lived up to the hype. Still intriguing enough size and athleticism to gamble on though
Some competition at P wouldn't hurt...Plus something about a 6'4 225 P sounds fun to me.
