*Trade 24 for 30 and 94*- KC uses their abundance of picks to jump GB for their WR of choice.

1)DT- Travis Jones UCONN- Could Quinn’s extension and choice to turn HC jobs come with power to pick his players? Let’s hope so. Jones would transform the D. Not only is he going to be a major upgrade to the run D and make the LB’s jobs easier, but his pash rush and ability to collapse the pocket will impact the pass rush and make the DE’s lives easier. Was a man amongst boys at the senior bowl.

2)G- Sean Rhyan UCLA- Stellar college LT that likely doesn’t have the desired length to stay there in the pros. But his size, strength, and movement ability should play well in all phases at LG. Plug and play starter day 1…and hopefully much longer

3)DE- Dominique Robinson Miami Oh- Somewhat of a project as he’s a converted WR, but already displays the tools you want to see in a pass rush specialist. The athletic ability hasn’t gone too far down despite the body transformation to DE. Has a great burst off of the line and has the desired flexibility to flatten and bend around the corner. Needs coaching with counter moves once blocked, but will give OT’s trouble day 1 with his length and speed. Plus has potential to grow into a complete DE.

3)LB- JoJo Domann Nebraska- Is he a LB? SS? Nickle CB? To me those are good questions to be asking when talking about a modern day Lb. At 6’1 228 and 4.62 speed he can both play the run as a box LB and turn and cover TE’s/big slot WR’s. Plays with a nasty demeanor and is always flying to the ball. Quinn wanted Neal to play the hybrid role last year that Domann is capable of filling. Staying healthy will be the 1 major concern.

*Trade 155 & 167 for 120*- We can’t use all of those 5th’s and package 2 to jump into the mid 4th
.
4)C- Zach Tom Wake Forest- There are a group of C prospects projected to go anywhere from late 2nd to mid/late 4th (Fortner, Strange, Jurgens, Tom, West) that are all pretty good prospects in their own right and I’m hoping 1 falls far enough to pull the trigger on a trade up. I went with Tom as the choice for this mock. Former C that was moved to LT out of necessity. The LT college tape isn’t great, but he was very good as a C and should return there. Really good movement skills and plays with solid technique. Needs to add nfl muscle, but high upside player if it all comes together.

4)WR-Erik Ezukanma, Texas Tech- Big bodied WR with good body control and strong hands. Can make tough catches over the middle and also stretch the field for a deep ball. Dangerous with the ball in his hands and space. Texas Tech route tree wasn’t exactly detailed so will need to polish up route running in the nfl.

5)TE-Daniel Bellinger, San Diego St- Bellinger has the potential to thrive as an in-line blocking TE2. Big strong muscular frame at 6’5 253. Willing and strong blocker inside, often seen blocking DE’s alone. Despite me labeling him a blocker, 4.62 speed is nothing to sneeze at and he does have reliable hands. A bit stiff and slow off the line, but can be a useful underneath against zone coverage.

5)S- Reed Blankenship, Mid Tenn St- Blankenship is a 6th year SR that took advantage of the covid relief year to go back to school. Ton of playing experience and multi team captain. 6’1 200 and a great athlete. Bit of a tweener as he’s too small to be a box SS and likely isn’t going to be a deep zone FS. Jack of all trades and master of none type of guy, but could be a valuable backup and special teams ace.

6)K- Cameron Dicker, Texas- Dicker the Kicker stays in Texas. Big leg and has been steady throughout his career.
