Been thinking of what a trade back with the Raiders would look like. We would get 17 and their second. If Sewell, Slater, Surtain and Horn are all gone, where would you go?

Personally I go Phillips. Top 10 talent. Risk is mitigated by the trade down. Corner is a lot deeper than edge rusher. And you always take a pass rusher over a corner #RisenApproved.

Who is the team trading up for?

If you are going to move away from a blue chip talent, the talent is closely group together, get a bigger package then a 2nd rd pick. I would target Jax, Jets, Miami, all who have high 2nd rd picks to land us a Safety plus one of those prospects you mentioned. Newsome, Grant plus the 44th pick.

I think the top 4 CBs are close. so if Pitts is not there at 10, then a trade down to get more picks, to allow us better manuvering in the draft so we can target players we like.....trading down and having additional 2nd, 3rd round picks and ending up with Horn or Newsome II is not so bad, if we end up with a Nixon, Barmore, Moehrig in the process.

If his medicals are clean I like him a lot. You can't have enough pass rushers and he's one of the better ones.

Why did he just get back surgery? He opted out last season and he’s just now getting surgery?

I wouldn’t be opposed to a small trade back to select Phillips; you may not get him at 17 though. Regardless, I wouldn’t get too cute though. Use whatever draft capital you gain and then make a move back up to grab a corner in the 2nd round.

I get the concern because concussions are part and parcel of playing football.

Most likely hurt himself training for his pro day. He had the same surgery as Romo with his back.
