This actually happened to me in a recent PFN sim. Cleveland takes Hunter at 2. Sanders slides to us at 12. They want to come up. We would have to go back to 33 but we would also pick up another day 2 pick AND their first in 2026. Thoughts?

I like the thought of having another 1st next year, but that's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay far back for a team with waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many needs

I would do it in such a top light draft. You dont lose out on the premium talent you would in most drafts, and that 2026 1st could wind up being very high.

This is an almost ideal scenario imo

If the Browns were willing to give up that much to get their next franchise QB…wouldn’t they just draft him without having to give up all the extra assets?

It’s the Browns, so anything is possible I suppose, but doesn’t seem like the most plausible scenario in my opinion.

Historically
1 year out 1st Rd pick equals roughly a mid 2nd round pick in current year...maybe even 40th pick or so

#12 pick value = 1200

#33 pick = 580
2026 1st = 400 to 500 range

.....that's 1200 for 980 to 1080 range

So...we should get more....say a 3rd rounder this year.
Is that what it was?

If so, on paper, it would work. No idea about reality

Depends on how special they think Hunter is.

They would in essence be spending 2 firsts, a second and a third to draft the 2nd best QB, the best WR and the best CB in the draft. Why wouldn't they do that?
