Trade Back Thoughts

I agree...it’s not normal for 4 QBs to go in the top 10 but I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens this year based on the teams ahead of us and 1 team likely trading up.

Trading back a few slots for an extra pick would be nice, but having 4QBs taken ahead of us before 10 would be nice too. Someone has to fall.

I think it has more to do with the strength of talent at other positions this year and fear of next year not being a great QB class.

With that being said it will be interesting what we hear about these QB's leading up to the draft.

DET - saves $20m by designating Stafford as a post-June 1 cut and needs an overhaul everywhere.
CAR - Bridgewater is only under contract for two more years - easy to cut after 2021 - but isn't particularly good anyway
ATL - Stuck with Ryan for probably two more seasons, but Lance is going to have to sit that long anyway, most likely.

NFL teams are generally stupid, but all 3 would be really stupid to pass on one of the QBs. But regardless of that, the fact that it's a need for all of them means that teams like SF or NE will need to jump them to get a QB, so 10 wouldn't have much value.

Sounds like if it isn't for a qb, we won't have much trade back opportunity it would end up being like 2013 grabbing an early third.

I think Barmore could be too good to pass up at 10.
Barrmore might drop to the late 1st or early second but Surtain wont. If we can pick up Surtain at 10 and maybe trade back up to pick up Barrmore, that would be phenomenal.
