NE has picks 31 and 63 which are worth 600 + 276 = 876 points on the draft chart.

#19 for Dallas is worth 875.

Someone of the group being discussed (LVE/Evans, Hernandez/Wynn, Ridley/Moore, Payne/Bryan, etc) may fall to #31 and Dallas gets a late 2nd rounder at the expense of not being able to pick exactly who they want. I think in this draft with a lot of really good players that will remain in the 2nd round that it's worth it if a trade back scenario like this comes up unless the scouts have a strong feel that someone at 19 will turn into a pro bowler. Yeah Dallas has sucked at picking 2nd rounders, but Chido looks good and eventually they'll get it right if they keep trying.

31, 50, 63

instead of

19, 50.

Mix in some late round flyers that may turn out to be players and there's a greater chance of coming out of the draft with quality starters without being forced into picking for need.

Pick #16 is worth 1000 as opposed to 875 points by the way, should have been an executive order from Jerry to give young guys play time and to lose that game. Anything to go 9-7 instead of 8-8 I guess.

NE would have to want a qb for a trade like this, they also won't get fleeced. I would expect 31 and 63 and best.

Honestly, a lot in my draft would have to go WRONG (lot targets and/or pre-trade set up gone bad ) for me to do this.

Why is NE trading up? And Seattle would probably take that same deal since they’re without a 2nd & 3rd.

Broadus says he’s heard they like Lamar Jackson.

NE has a boatload of day 1/2 picks and a good roster already. If anyone is going to package a 2 for 1 it'll be them. Lamar Jackson sure.

NE just got 23 from LAR

I would insist on that one in any trade back

I think picks 23 and 95 for 19 is barely a discussion even though the draft chart values add up. If NE wants to do that it's an instant accept. 31 and 63 is the one that makes you think.

NE drafted Jacoby Brissett who is not really a pure pocket passer. Not necessarily run first but definitely not in the Tom Brady mold.

That would surprise me. Belichick has never had a running QB.
Jacoby Brissett.

He he also has the QB from K-State Michael Bishop when he first go to New England. He ended up cutting him. Which was a Pete Carroll pick from 99.

Nobody is in the Tom I run slower than most offensive linemen Brady mold.

NE has two first round picks, I don't see them needing to move up unless they want to jump up into the top 5-12 range. Even then, I am not sure who they would go after.

Its rare for NE to trade up. Said this in the another thread. We are not going to get the better of them. They will fleece us in a trade. Not the team to try and work a trade with.

they might move up for an OL from 23 to 19 isnt going to cost that much
