NE has picks 31 and 63 which are worth 600 + 276 = 876 points on the draft chart.

#19 for Dallas is worth 875.

Someone of the group being discussed (LVE/Evans, Hernandez/Wynn, Ridley/Moore, Payne/Bryan, etc) may fall to #31 and Dallas gets a late 2nd rounder at the expense of not being able to pick exactly who they want. I think in this draft with a lot of really good players that will remain in the 2nd round that it's worth it if a trade back scenario like this comes up unless the scouts have a strong feel that someone at 19 will turn into a pro bowler. Yeah Dallas has sucked at picking 2nd rounders, but Chido looks good and eventually they'll get it right if they keep trying.

31, 50, 63

instead of

19, 50.

Mix in some late round flyers that may turn out to be players and there's a greater chance of coming out of the draft with quality starters without being forced into picking for need.

Pick #16 is worth 1000 as opposed to 875 points by the way, should have been an executive order from Jerry to give young guys play time and to lose that game. Anything to go 9-7 instead of 8-8 I guess.

If I am trading back that far in the first round I am fleecing the team I am trading back with. Too many good players going off the board between #19 and #31. If I trade back that far I am getting at least a 4th or 5th to go along with the picks you suggested or maybe also swapping places between our 4th and their 3rd. The difference is only 20 picks or so between their 3rd and our 4th but that's a huge deal in that area of the draft.
