The thing people need to know is that Dee Winters is very good in coverage. He gets his hands on a lot of footballs. FWIW, PFF gave him a 91.2 coverage grade which was good enough for 2nd amongst 123 linebackers.

He was greenlaw’s successor, didn’t have a great season and greenlaw got cut from Denver so they just brought greenlaw back. Winters is on the last year of his rookie deal and they’d never extend him now, so might as well get something
