My trade day complaint.

Fans want a Super Bowl.
Fans see this team may be closer than at any time since 2007.
Fans think the right addition(s) will propel Dallas to a position where they can compete in the post season and be a team no one wants to face.
Fans see the cost of players that have been traded over the last day or so, and the cost is prohibitive for the fan.
Fans state players who have been traded don't have the skill set to be the difference makers.
Fans rattle off acceptable trade ideas for the premium players still available and what they would pay.
Fans invariably want an Aaron Donald type elite player for a fourth round pick from Dallas.
Fans post these cockamamy ideas for public consumption on this site.
Fans are not sharing the drug they are taking to come to these ridiculous conclusions, which means I cannot enjoy this fantasy with them.

You want a Super Bowl, but no one wants to pay the price.

As Dolemite said, "I can see your lips quivering, Unc, but can't hear a cockamamy thing you say." Cleaned up to be appropriate for this site.

Nothing going to happen, only about 40 minutes left. I can see OBJ as the consolation prize.
why not IF, a big IF the FO does pass and want to improve, they can get SUH and OBJ .. i dont think we have many true holes or needs, so it NOT A Big deal. with Clarke getting reps, Washington coming, Tyrone coming back at some point, having he bye to get healthy, peters taking more snaps each game. I mean seriously a move could help but not necessary IMHO

We all know that if we do noting, the board will explode to bash the FO, specifically Jerry Jones.

We also know there is the chance we make a trade for a non Randy Moss type player, which well then let the bashing begin.

We also know that if we trade for someone like Jeudy and give up a first, the bashing will begin saying how dumb our FO is for letting the word know they wanted to make a deal and we over paid.

Have I left off the ways in which the complaints are about to begin in a few hours?

So let the fun begin!

On the opposite end if we gave up a high pick for a WR we would see posts about how it's Joey Galloway 4.0 or neglected the run d, etc.

Fans see the Eagles pickup AJ Brown, Darius Slay, Gardner-Johnson, Robert Quinn for less than market compensation, and get more for Jaelan Reagor than we got for Amari, go through an entire rebuild in the time since they won the super bowl and now catapult to the top of the league.

I might argue less than the market value for those players in the past off season. And Dallas had their turn with Quinn. He is not the answer.

A first for Jeudy would indeed be a stupid move. He is clearly good, but also clearly not a #1.
I’m not trading a first or second round pick for any receiver who isn’t a #1 or one of the top possession receivers in the league (a 2nd).

No way we were ever interested in Roquan Smith. We have our own young backers and will be extending Parsons sooner than later. Smith would be a great addition, but you can’t give up a 2nd round pick for a rental. No way we’d be resigning him.

I would have taken R Smith for the trade that was completed - That was a good deal

Jeudy is damn good.... he plays with Russel Wilson.

I'd argue market value too, AJ Brown for a low 1st is an absolute steal, Quinn for a 4th is a no Brainer. Quinn is a better pass rusher than anyone we have not named Parsons and the only reason he didn't stay in Dallas is because he was too expensive.

If we trade a pick away for a wr not as good as amari im gettin suspended on twitter today

Amaris don't grow on trees.

Best case scenario was finding some speed at WR to stretch the field. With the emergence of Brown as a legitimate WR this year, we just didn't need another possession WR.

Turpin can CLEARLY run by people and unless the ball in the USFL was smaller, he showed he can catch it.

They line him up in the slot against the Lions once, and he ran a post and was wide open. Its time to start giving that guy some opportunities. We already know how explosive he is.

If I were a Bears fan I would be complaining a whole lot more. How do you let a 25 year old star LB go when you are trying to build a team that already has a horrendous run defense? Seems like a bad move to me.

Short guys are at a relative disadvantage on deep balls. Can't jump, can't block out. Austin, Whitehead, and others couldn't make a go of it. Even Beasley, and extremely good route runner with good hands, was rarely sent deep. Ever?

There are always exceptions, but they're just that, exceptional.

And as for our team, we just don't seem to send non-traditional receivers deep, or at least don't throw to them when we do.

With Cooper gone, Pollard is the fastest guy on the offense. I don't recall them even sending him deep, let alone throwing home one deep, and he's got speed *and* grown up football player size.

That FB we had who had TE/WR experience. Forget his name. Forgettable player. But they sent him deep *once*, he was totally open, and Dak just couldn't get the ball to him because of the rush. The route worked perfectly. But AFAIK, that first attempt was the one and only attempt.
