Trade deadline tomorrow

Just when the Cowboys, Jerry, Garrett, and especially Romo were starting to get respect from the national media, we have a game like this... This was probably our most pathetic collapse in the Romo era, and everyone was losing their cool on the sidelines. We all know how reactionary Jerry can be after embarrassing losses like today. That being said, I think he makes a blockbuster move tomorrow since the trade deadline is Tuesday. Would you expect anything less?

Romo never lost his cool. Witten and Ware were just telling Dez to shutup the game wasn't over yet.

The current version of the Dallas Cowboys is like the little Dutch girl/boy/whatever that had to keep plugging holes in the dike. We desperately need several defensive linemen, we still need a couple of upgrades on the OL, we need a RB, and our secondary still can't cover a handicapped walrus. The only place we're solid is QB, WR, and TE. Also at LB. The rest need serious upgrades. The problem is you can't address all those problems in one draft, or even two. If we dedicate a draft to the defense we're screwed. If we dedicate it solely to the offense, we're screwed. Basically, we're screwed.

yes. thats exactly what a first place team should do.

There are different ways to look at it. Some of us feel that if the team does not have a reasonable chance to do some playoff damage, then lets look toward the next few years. A first place team? Yes. Leading by one game in what most consider to be the worst division in football. This isnt the 85 Bears here. This team isnt going on the road inthe playoffs and beating anyone.

Awesome. No more:

The Cowboys should give up three1st round picks and some other starters to get Adrian Peterson AND pay him 12M per year.

The Cowboys could get a great draft pick by trading away Miles Austin (Other teams don't care that he can't stay healthy and that he has a big salary).

Actually, if we win the East, we would have our first playoff game at home against a wildcard team. Not that we would be favored.

I honestly dont see why a deep playoff run seems so far outta the realm of possibility.
Its pretty clear that KC and Denver are two of the best teams in the NFL. Just like any Cowboys game we can play with any team out there.

How many major trades happen in the NFL at the dead line? The number is pretty close to zero. The cap ramifications in season make it almost impossible to move anyone of note during the season, as almost every team is close to zero cap by the start of the season.

Because we lost today and people don't really think about the over all of what happened, just the crushing way we lost.

Sure we can play with any team out there, but we rarely find a way to win. We're the epitome of inconsistency on offense and defense, from week to week and within any given game. There's no way this team could win three games in a row against playoff caliber teams.

Jerry is seeing loss of attendance and respect after this game. I think he goes for MJD. He'll overpay for him.

I don't understand this at all. The first line - you know this how?

The Cowboy brass is already on record regarding the salary cap situation. They know what MJD's number is. So please explain to all of us why we would trade for MJD? Makes no sense.

Maybe thats why Miles and Demarco didnt play today; amazing how it was reported that Demarco was playing and then all of a sudden he wasn't. #conspiracy theory
