Trade Down Question

It depends on what the Cowboys think of the safeties. They could trade 2,3, and 4th com and get back to the end of the first round as well. I would want two players under control for 5 seasons.

They are going to have to move to land one of those safeties

I think in this draft especially RD 1 you are going to see teams move up for QB, CB and OT. We all know about the QB's but there are also 3 excellent CB and number of OT teams are going to covet.

I'm not a trade down guy. I hardly ever advocate trading down does much good. My view is simple. You are trading away from the talent. Two good players do not equate to one great player in my book.

However, this year may be differe3nt. Primarily the comp picks and selecting in the top ten of each round.

So the question is. Can anyone offer a trade down situation for the 10th over-all? List the trade parameters. Who receives what? And what Dallas could expect to draft in the first.

Fans got enamored with trade down in Johnson's era. The thing people forget is that Jimmy was looking for speed on D over the traditional focus on a position needing someone of a certain size. He was getting undersized guys who others had off their boards.

The jig is up on that. With analytics, all those holes are plugged. Never going to see amazing trade down hauls anymore
