Jamal Adams is a LB in this scheme. We have 75 LBs.
Do not trade for Jamal Adams.

Talking about future opportunities. We’ve had lots of drafts in the past where a good S was available and we passed. This year’s draft was not one of those drafts.

Sure it was. We had all these extra picks in our back pocket and still let Oakland jump us for Moerig. Our drafting strategy is basically to sit back and see who falls. This is actually not a strategy so much as something born out of a general ignorance of what other teams are doing and a lack of relationships between our front and other teams.

Maybe the Seahawks are having buyers remorse. They still haven't signed him long term.

Offer a 1st for him and get him in a Dallas uniform.

We need a pointless trade discuss/debate thread, figured this will suffice.

They traded a boatload for him and he's still not signed. Either they're disappointed in the results or he's asking for the moon.

We don't need another top five paid at his position player. We need better depth, not bargain basement scrub depth.

I wanted him here because I thought we needed an all around leader on defense.

I expect Parsons to become that, so Adams' value isn't what it once was to this team IMO.

His best fit in this scheme may be the spot earmarked for Neal/Cox anyway.

We are covered on the short and long term.

No need to be dealing for Adams, and I dont see what sense it would make for Seattle to move him regardless.

The Seahawks screwed themselves. Just like the Texans did with Tunsil. Just like the Rams did with Ramsey. When a team gives up what they did in draft picks, it tells the player and agent that they will get anything they demand. That’s why both Tunsil and Ramsey reset the market at their respective positions - by a wide margin.

I’m amazed that many fans still seem to not get this. Seattle will not be forced to make Adam’s far and away the highest paid safety in the league. Because of the draft capital given up for him, they have no alternative.

I have no idea why this thread was created.

Why?
We signed the guy they want at string safety and drafted a guy they want to develop at FS and we still have woods
Safety is the least of our problems right now
The biggest question mark is the dline simply because most are new or rookies that we need reps from

I don’t think we still have Woods do we? Maybe you meant Wilson?

I don't get the people knocking Adams. He is a star and a very disruptive presence that would help this team a lot as we lack guys that can make plays on that side of the ball. That being said, we can't afford him so there really is no discussion..

How many offensive weapons does this team need? We need defense more than offense at point...
