Would you trade romo for a younger top talent like Andrew luck? I'm not sure that the team is one or even two years from superbowl so thinking forward would luck be better to build your team around? Of course this is probably not a real possibility just a thought.

Hell no. Romo is a top 5 quarterback in this league when he is healthy, I don't think Luck will ever be that good.

It does belong there. Lol @ Rivers. Dont see how he's better than Romo when he hasn't won jack either.

2 posts? 2 posts really?

Anyway, Romo may not be Top 5 but he is one of the better QB's in the league right now, maybe Top 10. Drafting Luck would mean starting over and guys like Newman, James, Witten, etc. might as well get traded too.

If John Kitna was the starting QB, then I'd consider it.

But with Romo on board.

No.

Especially with this defense giving up points by the bushel and the offensive line playing so poorly.

Wow 2 post really yes just 2

2000+ post really? Really ? I just found this sight like two weeks ago my post total may never be high but thanks for pointing that out.
Like I said I'm not sure this team is even close with the age of the star players. I like romo think he's a heck of a player but luck is a special player!

Yes, it does. Rivers is extremely good.

Brady, Brees, Manning, Rivers, Rodgers, Romo. In that order.

When will people ever understand that post count means nothing? I've got 2.5 times more posts than you do, does that mean I know more about football than you?

My post count is far superior to yours...so I will now ask if you are serious.:p:

Back to the OP question.

No you do not trade UP for luck because you have so many positions to fill this off season with O-Line, Secondary, Possible LB and D-Line.

You either have to have a complete rebuild or have pretty much everything wrapped up before you trade up to the top of the first round IMO.

We are in neither position.

I wouldn't be upset if they could find a way to trade up and make Luck the back up to Romo, and groom him. The way Greenbay did with Rodgers. Of course they lucked out that Rodgers litterally fell in their laps. But I wouldn't be opposed to that.

But just getting rid of Romo? No.

You'd need to trade Romo a first round pick and 2 seconds to sniff Luck.

Andrew Luck is being hailed as the next Troy Aikman QB prospect, a once in a decade sort of player. If they would do Romo for Luck, you take it. But they won't and we don't need to trade the farm for him.

Really? I know he will be going #1 but this is in an extremely weak QB pool with only Newton, Mallet, and Locker as the other 1st round potential QBs.

I haven't heard ANYONE hail him as the next Aikman.

weak? Its being called the strongest since 2004... Read any draftniks posts, Luck is the best since Aikman. Can't miss prospect.

Carson Palmer was supposed to be the next Aikman too, that turned out well.
