Trade for OBJ?

Would you trade Zack Martin and a 2019 2ndround draft pick for Odell Beckham Jr.?

Sure! Let's trade our 2020 first and second round picks for Travis Kelce while we're at it.

Let's see,

Take on OBJ's contract
Take on Kelce's contract
Pay Tank
Pay Amari
Sign ET
Pay Dak or draft another one...apparently with a 3rd round pick, or lower.
I guess we're letting Zeke walk, and probably some defensive players.

Sounds like a master plan.

Overrated and overpaid.

No thanks.

Bigtime WR's aren't winning Superbowls anyways so there is no need to make big investments in these players.

Much less spending a 1st rounder on a mediocre #1 WR like we did.

I specifically said I wouldnt do it and was attempting to start a realistic trade based on what both teams are in need of. Giants desperately need oline help and Dallas needs

There is nothing realistic about this trade. Zero.

I would give one of the Packers #1 Pick for Zack Martin. Packers need help in the middle. Their tackles are good but interior line is horrible. Besides Packers coaches could teach Zack how to hold without getting caught and make him even better.

The Giants are in a complete overhaul, just like the Raiders and any player (except Barkley) is not out of the question for a trade.

Personally, I don’t want him in Dallas. I see it more of a benefit to the Cowboys to keep him on the Giants as they continue to crumble.

But, there is no denying OBJ is a specially talented receiver and if a trade is done with another team that has a good QB and at least an average oline, he could look even better. Which is crazy to think about. I would hate it if the Eagles somehow trade for him (maybe 2 first round draft picks) so that they could make another run for the Superbowl this year.

I’d say a trade to Dallas is 99% not happening since we traded for Cooper last week and since the NYG are a division rival. But, just for fun, would you trade for OBJ and what is something “realistic” Dallas would have to give up? Would you prefer never to see him playing in a Dallas uniform ever? Where would you not want to see him traded?

Edit: Trade now becomes a 2019 2nd rounder/OBJ for Zack Martin

If he truly is up for trade watch the Rams or Patriots trade for him. Smart teams know how to use assets to win a SB, and then make the decision during the offseason.
OBJ would not fit here, we have our own version of captain checkdown, we have a much less creative scheme than even the Giants, we already wasted a first round pick on a player who produces at the level of Danny Amendola.. Look up Coopers average yards per game over the past two years. Yes we are that Forking stupid. Utter incompetence does not even describe how stupid Jerry is.

No way do we want that cancer on the team. Dez got released partly because of his antics. Why would we want a bigger head case?

The Giants #1 player for apparently Dallas #1 player isn't realistic? OBJ got to 5,000 receiving yards faster than any other receiver in the history of the NFL.

I understand the odds of a trade like this are extremely low (hence why I said in my original post it would 99% not happen).

No it is not. Dallas would have no interesting trading Martin to NY. It would weaken Cowboys OL and impact Dak, the running game and everything else they want to do on offense all the while making the Giants stronger. Not to mention the money and drama involved with ODJ.

I clearly said I wouldn't do it. I was attempting to create a "realistic" trade scenario based on the two teams needs for the sake of discussion.
Realistic?

I swear that I've had to bring my man out more this week than the entire 2017 season. So be it...

There are darn few teams that would want OBJ with his new contract, not to mention his drama. I don't think he's going anywhere soon, and that's good. It's really his & his agents fault for being where he is. He should have waited for his contract to expire & gone FA. That would have forced the Gmen to franchise, sign, or say goodbye.

.....if you were trying to create a "realistic trade scenario" you did a miserable job because nothing about any of this is "realistic".

Yea, he will blend in really well with the Cowboys and their potent passing attack.
