Bohanna and Gallimore should fetch handsome trade bounty.

It is moronic to weaken one position with hopes because there's no guarantee that you'll improve another position. Like I said EVERY team tries to get as much depth as they can at every position.

Only so many players can make the team at each position. If the Cowboys will have to cut any player that has draft value it would be smart to make any deal they can. 6th and 7th rounders can turn out to be good players also.

Here's the HUGE mistake fans make when they play GM. If and IF a team as so much depth at one position and they or going to have cut one of them, that player isn't likely going to fetch a 6th or 7th round pick because at or near cut time if teams are interested at all in that player they know that he'll be cut so they're not going to give up even a 6th or 7th round pick when they will be able to sign him for free. Now every once in a while we see so team giving up a 6th or 7th round pick for a player on the day before cut day but then we also see those coaches and/or GMs that do that end up eventually losing their jobs because of other foolish things they do.

No to trading DL at this point...let's see how it shakes out after TC and PS games....injuries, surprise performers--good or bad...and chemistry. Need all the help you can get especially at DL. These are the guys that get gassed first in games and you need capable bodies to rotate. Jimmy would bring in waves of linemen during games to keep pressure on offenses.

Besides, none will get you back a top pick in the first three or four rounds. So they are more valuable to the Cowboys.

I read a mailbag on the Cowboys website where a fan wrote in asking if the Cowboys should try trading one of their defensive linemen because of the depth they now have. This is foolishness. Every team tries to get the best depth they can at every position yet there is always some fans that think they should trade some of it away. Fans should get the word trade out of their vocabulary, that and stop playing GM.
Koppy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where ya been, man!!!

Right. Both Gallimore and Bohanna could miss out on the roster this year, and neither has done enough to entice some team to trade for them. They both would need to shine during camp, and then the dilemma would be whether we should keep them. I can't see us keeping three NTs, but I would keep Bohanna over Hankins if their play was equal because we can hold on to Bohanna for a couple of years while Hankins on on a one-year deal. Not quite the same at 3-tech, where we mainly have youth with Odighizuwa, Golston and Fehoko. Gallimore could play just as well as any of them and still be a cut/trade because they are under contract longer.
Hankins is better than Bohan and it's not close.

Galley may benefit from actually having a NT. He's been forced to play there way too often. Maybe he can finally become the disruptive 3 tech he was thought to be if we put him in his correct position. Up until now, we Ratliffed him.

If we could trade Armstrong for a legitimate starting quality guard. Not a JAG, but someone we would resign to start the next few years I would do that. Start Williams and never look back.
