Diggs is gonna command more than what Jalen is currently paid. Use the money that was earmarked for Diggs to fill other needs.

Would you do it? I'd consider it if I'm the Cowboys. IJS

Interesting thought and idea. I never been a big Ramsey fan. But after Diggs and the SF non hit on Kittle, I am very down on him right now.

So would a trade pair them together for a few years. Then let him walk as a FA and get a comp pick. Or trade Diggs if Ramsey comes in? Or a trade of Diggs for Ramsey and not the 26th pick?

Right now, I am not sure to do anything or not, and maybe draft a CB instead, keep Diggs and see what happens.

Does Cuban own the cowboys now??? No asset walks for free!!!! Trade diggs if gonna cost too much $$$ and get picks/players.
Cowboys would likely get a 2nd or 3rd round comp pick in this scenario. Not bad IMO.

The issue is Ramsey is pressing for a new deal, so whatever team trades for him will likely do so with an extension.
I didn't know that. I gotta rethink my stance a bit (even though we know what he brings to the table and is a more consistent, better CB - who is willing to tackle).

Don't get too anxious to make that trade. Rumor has it that one of the reasons the Rams may want to move on from Ramsey is because Ramsey wants a new contract and more money. If we are going to spend big money on external guys then I would rather do that with free agents where we are not having to give up draft picks. We could go out and sign a high quality CB, keep our first round pick, and pay less money than what we would have to pay for Ramsey.

In terms of draft picks and money, Ramsey is expensive.

If it weren't for Diggs business decision, Ramsey wouldn't even been in any discussion.

This is why the whole point is pointless. He wants to be paid again like the tier one guys. So what you see there is going to skyrocket for his new team.

If all it takes is #26 to get an all pro like Ramsey? It’s a no brainer for me

Ramsey is on record saying he would never play for the Cowboys

It’s a no brainer. Cut Zeke, bring in the guy we should have drafted. I would also sign Diggs. Imagine our corners. Build on your strengths.

While that would be fun to watch I can’t imagine dedicating $50MM+ to the CB position annually. If you go that route you pretty much need a plan to move on from either Micah or dak in a couple years.

Personally I would rather continue to put resources to beef up the front 7. Good fronts can make average DBs look good to elite.
