My trade partner is Indy. I'm going to say they take Tua at #13 and are looking to move back in to the first for a receiver. Getting in front of Philly would be ideal for them, and especially if Ruggs is still on the board. With 2 second round picks Indy is looking to deal. Indy takes Tua at #13, trades Dallas both their second round picks to move up to #17 and select Ruggs.

2nd - (From Indy) Yetur Gross-Matos DE/Penn State
2nd - (From Indy) AJ Terrell CB/Clemson
2nd - Donovan Peoples Jones WR/Michigan
3rd - James Lynch DL-3T/Baylor
4th - Davon Hamilton DT/Ohio State
5th - Lamical Perine RB/Florida
5th - (Comp) Tanner Muse SS/Clemson
7th - Charlie Taumoepeau FB/Portland State

It's not the most exciting draft in the world, but with a new coaching staff I could see Dallas investing in some raw players like Matos, Jones, and Lynch who are all ascending players.

Are two second rounders enough return for a top 20 pick?

I want more than 2 2nds for our 17. You have to throw in a couple of firsts also and if Tua is at 13 and Dak is only franchised than I am moving up to get him.

The value is probably about right. Cowboys are substantial winners on the TVC but lose the 5th year option.

In terms of the picks I like Gross Matos in the mid 30’s and Davon Hamilton but Im not a fan of AJ Terrell or Peoples Jones. I’d hope safety was addressed in FA because I think Muse is a good ST option but can’t see him starting.

I think this is a pretty good job of addressing needs while still getting value at the picks (though I don't really love Terrell, I think that's a good spot to get a corner).

There's just no wow factor, so idk how much better this team actually gets, though Peoples Jones does have a bunch of upside and I like that, theoretically, he'd allow you to play Cooper a lot more in the slot.

I'm probably a bigger fan of Terrell than most, or Clemson DBs for that matter. Brent Venables may be the best defensive coordinator on the planet and runs an intricate secondary. Terrell's athleticism along with his high football IQ coming out of the Clemson secondary makes me think he'll have a quick transition to the NFL. He's a well balanced player who reminds me a little of Byron Jones with his ability to mirror players.

In this case, because one of their picks is pick 34, yes.

Pick 34 and 44 = 1000
Pick 17 = 950

so close...within the normal margin of error of 5%
We might have to throw in a 5th.

Don't think Tua will last till 13, but that's another issue.

Not a fan of Donovan Peoples-Jones that high, but everything else looks good.
