I stand by this. There are a few teams who need a receiver who would give up picks. Jets have pick 16. All the best defenders will be wiped out by pick 12. We could pick Makai lemon at 12. Save a ton on salary cap. Use 16 for Dillon Thieneman. Pick 20 for messidor. Than all we need to do is find a way to get into the top 10 of round 2 to draft the the mustache. Let’s go.

The only offset is salary cap and we’ve seen that Jerry hasn’t even leveraged the cap room we do have for free agents. Give him 28m and we likely end up with the same roster . He hasn’t even extend and restructure Q and that’s something that needs to happen.

5th round is laughable.
They can move around in the draft with picks 12 & 20. And come away with 5 very good players on defense. Of which 2 or 3 can become very good to great.

Pickens is too much money. You can afford two 30 million plus dollar receivers and a 60 plus million an ear qb and have a defense. Daks cap hit is 76 million in 2027

Ok so maybe they give up pick 33 for him. You could still pick lemon at 12, messidor at 20, the mustache at 33. We already have a wr1. There is no reason to take a 28 million dollar cap hit on a wr2

Why would those teams give up a pick for a guy they have to pay when they can draft one and get the next 3-4 years cheap? The Jets aren't a Pickens away
