Ok Zoners, how about if the Phins sign Winston, then we trade a 2014 2nd rd pick for tackle Branden Albert?

I like Mr. Jones making a deal for a tackle who we really need then too waste #1 picks for a Wr who is currently out of football Roy Williams, Joey Galloway etc.....:bang2:

Thoughts?

How will we pay him the money he wants? He wants LT money.

Want and get are two different things. Would give up a 3rd next year but not a 2nd.

I doubt they want to give up anything for a tackle. Obviously that depends on how they feel about Parnell/Free or anyone else who may contribute there.

People are having a lot of difficulty realizing our future cap situation.

No why we are paying Albert left tackle money to play right tackle, and then Smith when we have to pay Smith. Way too much money tied in the line.

They want to rebuild this offensive line mostly through the draft.

I can see us getting some affordable veterans if the competition level is right and the money is right. That is all about buying time.

As of now I would suggest Berneadeau has been replaced more so than Costa. So Free is certainly the next issue to be addressed.

Our obvious choices for Tackle are Clabo and Winston. If Miami signs Winston, I don't know if that drives us Clabo's price or leaves him with less options, and thus less money. Is it a buyers market or a sellers market. I think that would be difficult to tell, until after we've signed one of them.

Cowboys dont want Winston they want Tyson Clabo who is still available and if they want him my bet is they'll have him.

You're still upset with the Joey Galloway trade. That happened in 2000. Time to let that one go. It is also understandable why Galloway is out of the league. He is 41 years old. Would it make you feel better if he were still playing?

If they wanted to sign an OT to a big contract, then they could have just signed a Free Agent. Using both draft picks and significant salary cap space on the same player is not a good idea. Teams must get contributions from draft picks on their initial contract in order to manage the salary cap.

I would like Clabo. I'd rather invest in an interior lineman. If we can control the "A" gap we'll do great running the ball and Romo wont be running for his life 2 seconds after the snap.

Why would we do that? He wants traded because he wants to play LT not RT.

Nope. Albert wants 9-10 million a year and he isn't worth half that. Nothing to see here.
