If you hate my idea, please explain to me how you would attempt to stop this lineup from driving it down your throat and scoring every time we have possession of the ball.
for the record I was drinking when I typed this up, So i'm not gonna act like I have it all figured out lol. That being said, I still stand by considering a trade up if Pitts is in our range. And yes, that face palm post made me laugh out loud.Tell us how you REALLY feel.![]()

Dallas D will be better this year, it's not predicated on getting a defensive player with our first pick. we have 10 picks, an improved D Coordinator, a few FA additions, we won't be the same defense as last year. You stop that lineup by man up and bring pressure from everywhere. You gamble and expect to give up 30 a game, but expect your offense to score 40 on the Dallas D.
When Dak is playing no one can stop them either other than a fumble or int. The problem is that the Cowboys defense can't stop anyone either. So you can't score points when you're not on the field. He's a generational talent, you can't put a LBer on him, we already have elite WR talents, and an Elite RB with a big strong dual threat QB.
If you add Kyle Pitts to this, it's a nightmare for defenses. I can't think of a defense in the NFL that would be able to stop us. Therefore, you have to at least consider trade up scenarios.
On top of tall of this, this year's draft is deep at our positions of need: OL, S, CB, DT
"But you don't waste a premium pick on a TE and you certainly dont trade up from 10 for a TE."
Ok, lets scrap the "TE" label, and lets just call him what he is, which is a WEAPON. An instant mismatch every time he steps on the field. Atlanta has made it known they're willing to shop the pick. And if someone trades with Atlanta to move up, it will most likely be for a QB.
Cincy could potentially be willing to trade as they REALLY need to focus on their O-Line over anything else.
What does it cost us?
I feel we can offer a combination of our 10th pick and either our 2022 2nd rd pick
OR 2022 3rd and 5th rid pick PLUS next years 4th rd pick
We have a boatload of picks this year, so we can still address our areas of need, and next year roll out with this:
Dak
Zeke
ACooper
Cee Dee Lamb
Michael Gallup
Kyle Pitts

Agreed, but trade up and you have a few less of those draft picks. Then you are getting down to players that statistics say won't help the first year or two. I like the idea of Pitts at 10, and even moving up if it costs a 4th or less, but not if it takes a 3rd or 2nd. Too many holes.Dallas D will be better this year, it's not predicated on getting a defensive player with our first pick. we have 10 picks, an improved D Coordinator, a few FA additions, we won't be the same defense as last year.
I would give pick 10 and Cooper, but that might not do it with Coopers high salary. I would be willing to throw in a 3rd too. I think Pitts is worth a 1st and 3rd.
This Offense has enough weapons, right now, that should make them unstoppable. And yet...........
Any Defense in the NFL can take one thing away from an Offense. It's up to the Offense to figure out how and where to attack. Right now, we already have enough weapons. We can't stop anybody. We don't get consistent play throughout the game at the most important position on the field. We have long term issues at key positions on the team, such as LT, that need to be addressed.
Drafting Pitts fixes none of those things.
Would only draft Pitts if he fell to 10He's a generational talent, you can't put a LBer on him, we already have elite WR talents, and an Elite RB with a big strong dual threat QB.

D is not that bad? I swear, some of you are on drugs.I’m not sure all those problems are there if Dak is healthy. Agreed on the OL, I would like to shore that up and the defense, but I would go best player available. They could draft 3 OL this year and it wouldn’t be overkill.
On defense, it’s pretty easy to see why they can’t stop anyone, the lost both FA DTs, Lee and LVE to injury. I wouldn’t want to over react and pass on Pitts for Parsons/Surtain the defense isn’t that bad especially when they had no QB and all the injuries on defense last year.
