I know a lot of you will hate this idea, and I can't say I necessarily blame you (especially those of you who don't like Gordon), especially after Mo... but then again it did work with Dez which is what I am modeling this trade after, and I think it is a quite likely scenerio.

Cowboys seeing Gurley off the board to San Diego at 17, and really wanting a RB, and knowing that either the Lions or the Cards will likely snap up Gordon in a heartbeat, being almost as great of need of a RB as the Cowboys, organize a trade with the Steelers at 22, and we trade our 1st and 3rd for their 1st and 5th to move up 5 spots and nab Gordon (who I don't think I need to describe why) just like we did with the Pats in 2010 (granted that time we got a 1st and 4th back... though we traded the 4th to move up and get Lee).

2nd round: I am keep the same and going for Michael Bennett. We need depth, and possibly starters at DT. If nothing else he provides a good person to help Crawford inside on passing downs.

4th Round: Still sticking with Kevin White. He's been my go to guy for so long, and it seems like the Cowboys really like him as well. Will be able to come in almost right away and help out at nickelback.

5th Round #1: Double dipping at DT but going for Xavier Williams out of Northern Iowa. Better suited for 1-tech than Bennett, and has shown improvement every year since high school we get a DT who might develop into something special.

5th Round #2: Seeing we still need a new swing tackle I grab Andrew Donnel off the board. Has experience at both guard and tackle, and good technique at the tackle spot. If we can develop his power a bit he will at the very least make a good swing tackle for us, and maybe a future starter at RT

And once again I don't care at all about the 7th rounder. So what do you think, how much do you hate the idea of trading up for Gordon, etc?

P.S. Yes I like Iowans, I am from there... but I also happen to think cornfed Iowans frequently make good/undervalued (in the draft) football players.
