Trade Up?

There is zero percent chance the Cowboys trade up. It's not worth giving up a draft pick (when there are only 6 to start with) to get a player that won't be a whole lot better than whats available at 28. I'd be open to trading down however.

Zero chance? Good to know, Miss Cleo.

I'm generally not a fan of trading up. I loudly oppossed giving up our 1st and 2nd rounders for Mo Claiborne, for example..flat out hated that trade.

But you can trade up slightly and still have the same number of picks...or even more picks, depending on the trade.

But yeah, unless a player we thought would never be there (slotted in the top 10 or so) is still there in the 20s and we feel we need a small move to leap over someone, I'd be in the stay put or even trade down camp.

Not suggesting this but...
Just for kicks, heres a small trade up that would work if we needed it and would allow us to even add a pick

Dallas moves up from 28 to 24

Dallas gives Oakland picks 1(28) and 3(92) for Oaklands 1(24) and 4(129) and 6(208)

Almost an exact match, value chart wise at least.

Absoluetly only way I would ever condone a trade up is if it was for #28 and Romo. If it involved our draft picks I would lose my **** ! Dog would be hiding out in the back yard for weeks !!!

Nope. Trade down. Need more picks in talent deep 2nd-4th rounds, not less. Even if Cowboys traded out of 1st round and got a high 2nd and 3rd, that's a win. The only exception is if a top 10 talent drops to 28.
