With Brees and Rivers retiring, at least one more team can be added to the “needs a starter” list, maybe two depending on Winston/Hill. Guys like Big Ben (they’ve just signed Haskins to a 1-year) and Brady could be a year away from retirement as well. The immediate need for QB will drive our pick value up at 10.

If you had to rank your preferred scenarios with the Cowboys pick how would they stack up? Mine is:

1. Farley
2a/2b. Trade down in the top 20 or Surtain (gotta see his 40)
3. Blue-Chip OL

What is Surtain runs a 4.38

Then I probably have him slightly ahead of Farley since his technique and growing up with the game make his floor a bit higher than the WR turned CB Farley.

In order for him to be my 2 above trading down, he would have to run in the mid to high 4.4’s.

I think all 4 quarterbacks are gone before 10, so teams looking to move up will have to get to #7 or #8.

But Tampa and Green Bay are interesting, because they might be more inclined if a guy slips to 10.

Yeah with Rivers and Brees walking away the list of teams that are, or about to be, desperate for QB's has increased. I think currently there are 12 teams that will need a new QB, either this season or next. And because of that, every spot in the top 10 could have increased trade value. More so the top 6, but all the top 10 picks could go up in value.

I see 3/5 teams that absolutely must take one, and my list is probably different from a lot of other peoples; Indy, Jacksonville, Chicago and New England. We all know Jax is taking Lawrence #1. But unless NE, *Chi or Indy pull off a trade for D Watson, I think they have no other options and will have to make a trade into the top 10 to draft their future QB. *Den could take a shot at a QB also.

I see 5/7 others that absolutely could be in play this year, if they have the opportunity to take one; Wash, *Chi, Mia, Det, Car, Atl, *Den. All these teams have a 2021 option in place, but will probably need a replacement QB in place for 2022, if not before.

I see 2/5 other teams that will need new QB's very soon, but unless they have a chance to trade or steal one, I think they will ride with what they have for 1 more year before making the leap into the QB pool; Pitt, NO, *Den, Chi* and Atl.

And there is yet another tier that could be surprise players on the market, but most liekly it will be next season, depending on how their QB's fair this season; Phi, NYJ, NYG, LVR and SF.

*Chicago and Denver could easily be in any of the groups.

1. Farley (not trading away from taking him)
2. Slater (if cannot trade back, no issues handing in the card)
3. Trade Back (willing to trade back all the way to the end of the 1st rd, if it nets us a big return)

GB drafted Jordan Love last year as the heir apparent to AR. They won’t be picking a QB in the first round. But I could see them wanting to move up if Pitts or Waddle is there at 10.
