Trade Vick?!!

This is a website I heard about. Seems like some of the Falcons faithful want Vick's head for underachieving this year. I know this will never happen in a million years but it's going to be interesting to see what some of you have to say. Bledsoe Bashers should have a field day. DREAM AWAY..............

I would love to have Vick as a RB but he is not worth a damn at QB at least not yet. I don't blame falcon fans being upset the falcons paid out a boat load of money last year on Vick and he preformed poorly as a QB

You know...it might not hurt the Falcons to put Vick up on the auction block and see what they could get for him. I think it is very likely that they could get a Herschel Walker-esque trade and save themselves the problem of Vick likely getting hurt in the next few seasons. Matt Schaub is not a bad QB at all, and if Vick was dumped and they were able to get some quality talent for him, who knows what could happen with them?

Vick is still young. He could possibly get better. He is only 25 years old and Shaub is only 1 year younger and also has some potential. The Falcons are in a good situation at the QB position.

I said this a year ago on another message board and people thought I was crazy. (I may be crazy, but this isn't going to be the determining factor). Schaub is a good QB and needs time to develop and he isn't going to get time behind Vick. He'll get a little time when Vick gets banged up, but that's it.

Vick had alot more success under Dan Reeves' schemes-he had no problems getting the ball to his WRs.

The West Choke O was the Falcons' ultimate undoing.

his problem is that he worries too much about critics. i lost faith in him ever being an elite QB after he made his comment after the game where he could finally throw the ball about stop criticizing him

He should be performing a lot better considering he was a No.1 pick and the size of his contract.

Sometimes when he throws they are just beautiful - a flick of the wrist and the ball looks like it picking up velocity all the way to the receiver. Problem is thats it's 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 passes that do this. The rest are over or under thrown.

I can't see him leaving the Falcons though he makes the team to much money selling jerseys and tickets whether he wins or not.

Yep, people quickly died down about that falsehood as soon as they saw what Price brought to the table.

Like Vick stated, this is the first time in his life at any level that he will not be competing in a post-season when he was fully healthy at the end of the season.

He needs to hit the field with Steve Mcnair in the offseason and start working on his accuracy, decision making and when to scramble and when not too, even that last part cannot be coached.

True.

See with Mcnabb, he changed his style because he saw it would make him a better player and could make him that much more dangerous.

Vick is fighting this thing and it maybe all the way to the end of his playing days. He doesnt seem to have a strong mental game as far as taking criticism for how he plays.

Like one famous comedian once said, If I cannot make movies anymore, I will just go back to what made me rich, stand-up comdey....you have to dance with what got you there...

Michael Vick is extremely overrated. Drew Bledsoe or Mark Brunell should ahve gone to the Pro Bowl. Did you see Vick play against Carolina? Vick did not play like he really wanted to win. Even when the were only down by 11 points, he displayed a calm uncaring demeanor. How do you get blown up at home to a division rival? At least make a fight of it. He is suppose to be the heart and soul of the team and he showed no fire.

Michael Vick is a great athelete but a loser as a quarterback.

Only "fans" like kartr and his ilk like him for their own reasons.

I don't blame Atlanta fans. All of that wasted energy on trying to build the team around a guy who is a bad passer and gets hurt all the time.

Vick is crap as a quarterback. Some team needs to take him and make him do something else.

He didnt deserve to go to the Pro Bowl, but alot of people sure voted for him.

You act like his teams have been GARBAGE when he takes helm at center.

And Vick has had one major injury since he has been there.

And a QB can get hurt without being a scrambler, just as Aikman and recently Drew Brees...

I feel this was a transition year for Vick.

They worked on the QB skills more and the running less.

Yes. He is explosive on his feet and can kill a defense.
But he just has to learn how to throw the ball a bit better and he will dominate games.

Maybe they need to get him a big thme WR - Owens may be - to go along and take a lot of game pressure off him.

Their running game and Defense is real good at this point.

As little as I like Bledsoe the answer to a Vick trade would not be no, but HELL NO. I 'll stick with Droopy under center if that is the only alternative.
