I am just curious what you guys think about the fact that we made no trades prior to the trade deadline. I am not sure how we could have improved the team but it may have been worth making a run to trade for a linebacker.

I know they were counting on Hitchens returning, and that actually worked out, but we have nothing at linebacker right now other than Hitchens.

I would have liked to get Ajayi but not for a 4th round pick. That's really too expensive for a rental. I would have probably given up a pick for a LB but I can also see a good argument for standing pat.

The lack of moves outside of the draft is frustrating.

Everything we do depends on the draft.

Free Agency and coaching are terrible.

Could not agree more with this.

Free agency should be to stock up on players at positions that you BUSTED on in the draft like mostly everyone outside of Collins, d-law(contract year go figure), and jourdon Lewis.

But no we miss on draft picks then decide to fill holes with crap cheap players

Aside from Bowen, I really don't know who was out there for LB. Would love to have him, but a pretty easy decision on his part not having to move for a 4-month contract.

The time to do something was during the offseason. The trade deadline had very limited options.

How they could feel comfortable with this LB unit considering Durant's age, Lee's durability issues, and Smith skipping all over the field is very perplexing to me.

I understand your frustration. I hate giving up draft picks for players but if they pan out they can really help your team out. Brice Butler was one of those trades. It also cuts into future cheap labor costs in terms of future draft picks.

On the other hand, if we miss the playoffs this year it is a horrible waste of two years of the Dak/Zeke tandem and their relatively cheap contracts. That's a real kick in the teeth.

They could have probably given up a third round pick and got a pretty good linebacker for that that they could have demanded an extension agreement before the trade.

We may still make the playoffs but right now the smart money would be betting against us. We really have to beat the Eagles this week or we are going to need help to get in. With tie breakers going against us I really doubt 9 and 7 would be good enough to get in as a wild card and 10 and 6 may not even be enough.
