As I see it the two most glaring holes on our team seem to be 1. A true 1 Tech and 2. A legitimate blocking tight end. We could use an upgrade at those positions prior to the trade deadline.

I think this team could trade a 5th -7th round pick and get one of each. It would greatly improve the performance ability of this team. Now whether or not our coaches would use that talent properly is the subject of legitimate debate.

It’s funny, if you said before the season started that you thought this roster had more holes in it than people were admitting, you were called a troll. And yet here we are.

Other than giving away draft picks our next coach could use, what would those trades accomplish at this point?
Nothing. I don't necessarily disagree with the TE situation but that ain't gonna solve what's wrong with our team. We need to can Garrett immediately and promote whoever. That might get these guys going. I don't doubt we have some legit injuries but I am starting to think some guys are just bagging it. Tired of the same old stuff from this coaching staff.

With this coaching the players don't matter. You can buy some regular season wins but you're just postponing the inevitable flop at the end.

Trade Zeke, Dak, Cooper, DLaw and J Smith and use the draft picks to upgrade.

Well it obviously needs to be on the defensive side of the ball, and typically you'd trade with a team that knows they arent in the playoff hunt.

Bengals- Geno Atkins
Jets- Adams, Leonard Williams, I liked Tarell Basham coming out
Falcons- Takk
Chargers- Nwosu or Casey Heyward

Then what happens when those 'upgrades' fail to win because of Garret? They become the new scapegoats and we repeat the insanity?

Trading picks is a bad idea. What looked like a great trade for Cooper could end up looking really bad if he sits out injured most of the season and then walks.

If you want to trade some low round crap for some projects, fine.

But if this franchise moves a high pick, they are dumber than a box of hammers.

It can become their signature move!

It makes no sense to trade now because this team is not good and may draft in the Top 10. Also, we know that Jason and Marinelli will not use the players correctly anyway.
